The lobby is fantastic, and I'm sure the amenities downstairs are great. The first room I was given was humid and smelled like an animal, I immediately went to kick in the A/C via the wall controller and the window unit (no central) had a constant buzz/rattle/LOUD hum, as if something was loose in it. When I looked in the bathroom, much of the caulking around the shower was cracked and separating. I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep here, but I also hate asking for a new room.. I did anyway. The staff was nice enough to give me a new room. This time the A/C didn't have a loud noise, but also WASN'T connected to the dead (DOA) wall controller, so I had to walk over to the window unit to manually control it throughout the night. It felt like it didn't have an actual thermostat, because it just kept running. The beds were terribly uncomfortable and the insides of the rooms definitely needed updating. It felt like the last update was done on the cheap. At least give us better beds, and air conditioners that will regulate throughout the night. I only judge this hotel based on it's purported star-rating. I've stayed at the other two hotels on it's block with the same rating and they are great.
