Prestige Oceanview Hotel Prince Rupert

It was convenient to where our shuttle from the ferry dropped us off. Walmart/mall was across the street.

I went to have a shower, no hot water! I called the front desk and was told To get hot water you had to run the water for 10 to 15 minutes! There is something wrong with the hot water to the second floor! The heater/air conditioner in the room only blew cold air, it was cold! There was an air vent right outside the door that blew freezing cold air into the hall and room every time you opened the door! There was only one desk chair in the room, everyone had to sit on the beds! Went for the complimentary breakfast, poured my cereal and couldn’t find the milk! When asked I was told they were out of milk with no attempt to get any! I was told to throw the dry cereal away! It was very clean, great in that way. Just felt like an inconvenience to the hotel owners!

Evening two ladies Kristi and Tracy were very nice.our checkout however was not taken into consideration at 12pm. Since there was no hot water we decided to go home and shower. We weren't comfortable at all. Upon check out We were refused money back. There was no hotwater to shower for 4 of us. I dont think that, We finally decided to leave to catch our ferry at 3:30. I would like to get some money back from not using the room. This is for ******* and doesnt reflect the hotel.

Some excellent front desk staff and some not so great front desk staff, the continental breakfast was often out of stock on utensils to eat with or coffee and finding help to get those items was sometimes a challenge. We were also kept awake throughout the night by people yelling, swearing and screaming at all hours just outside the hotel doors. Otherwise it was clean had great service from one of the front desk ladies (very helpful and checked on how our stay was going multiple times).

The tv did not work properly and the hallways were so hot. But the staff at the front desk were wonderful. There was not much for breakfast. We found waffles And no protein but one broke. Egg in the fridge.

The staff were terrific. The property itself is quite dated, some areas have been renovated but others have not been. There is a smell of cigarette smoke when you walk into the lobby. The washrooms by the dining area are something out of 1970s/1980s, could probably be renovated. The mattress had a few stubborn springs poking. The continental breakfast is the skimpiest I have ever experienced; two waffle making machines, some bread/bagels, juice, cereal and fruit. Nothing hot, so no eggs, bacon, potatoes, etc. No yogurt. This hotel pales in comparison to other Prestige Hotels; after staying at the Sooke Prestige Hotel, I was disappointed at the run-down quality of the Prince Rupert location.

The fact it’s right next to a Tim Horton’s was nice. But the staff were super amazing and super friendly. Rooms nice a quiet as well!

We arrived on the late ferry to find there was a planned power outage that they did not notify us about. No lights, to power, no elevator. Room on 6th floor! Did not give us flashlight to use in room. Not all their fault, but they could have made the situation better.

This hotel is a well kept older hotel in the heart of town, close to shopping and other amenities. Our room was very clean, our king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was nicely updated, however the fan did not work. Also there seemed to be shortage of staff. Housekeeping didn't come to makeup our room until mid afternoon and there was no attendant in the breakfast room to replenish items and dishes. All staff were very polite and helpful and we enjoyed our stay.
