Where to begin…
Whenever I stay at a hotel, I ALWAYS take a few cleaning supplies with me because, I have OCD. Alcohol, Lysol, Odoban and a Swiffer. Yes, a Swiffer to disinfect the floors. This routine does not differ, regardless of the hotel I stay in. I usually take two pads depending on the length of stay. For this particular stay, the two pads were not enough to clean those DISGUSTING floors. I used the two pads, and by that point I was having a full blown panic attack. Husband went to the desk, explained the situation. “ Nothing could be done “ only a note left in the system. I was never contacted by a Manager ever. The hotel itself is cruddy and it does not look/feel clean at all. The paint colors are ATROCIOUS & there is no attention to detail. Carpets in hallway are Cringe! The parking lot is dark and seedy, with Penske trucks taking up four of five parking spaces each.. The sink was also defective and the exhaust fan ( above the toilet ) was filthy. Lastly, this hotel was built in 1984 and my room 2728 on the seventh floor, showed its age! Ultimately, we had to clean the floor three times and we just gave up and resorted to NEVER walking barefoot or with socks.
