ザ バーティザン(The Bartizan Galle Fort)

I have the best time staying in this hotel. Beautiful Place! Good Breakfast and Best Crew! Special thanks to Pathum, Sanjeever and Ranjit for making our stay feel special. Always with a smile and happy to be of assistance round the clock!! I will come back again and see you guys again when im back in Galle next time!! See you guys!!

This is a small boutique hotel in Galle with just the perfect balcony room. Yes, it is expensive, they have European roomrates. But they also have a great service, lovely staf, a different style luxe breakfast and complementairy tea and cake served at your own balcony in the afternoon. The room was beautifull and the cinnamon smell was also really nice. We stayed newyears eve at this hotel, and then we recommend earplugs for the noise of the celebrating crowd. But from the hotel it was a short walk up to the clocktower to see the fireworks. The owners did a great job redoing this place and turning it into a really charming hotel. Eventhough the downstairs rooms are small and without any view. When we visit the rain spoiled a little bit of the fun, I can imagen that the hotel even looks better when you also can use the little terras viewing the ocean.

Cute hotel that provides all the comforts you need! Spacious bathroom and the room were cleaned well! Breakfast was great. Provides no dinner but there are plenty of places to choose from just down from Pedlar Street. Great views of the Galle Rampart. Excellent staff!

We stayed three nights here whilst touring. The property is boutique with some charm and very well located in the old town. We were kindly upgraded to balcony room with seaview which was appreciated. Room was quirky, huge and well equipped, only thing missing was a tv but that did not trouble us. Staff were friendly and helpful and it was nice to be offered breakfast on our balcony. I even managed a couple of swims on little beach opposite the hotel. Only downside was that the property is popular for wedding/fashion photoshoots in the courtyard (where guests eat) and turret beside our room, and there were several such over our stay which we found intrusive. I was told this started over covid restrictions to bring in cash, which is understandable, but then continued. Seems like owners are selling the same small facilities twice.

We had a lovely stay at the Bartizan, the staff were so helpful and always there to give recommendations, the room had everything you needed and a nice terrace for having breakfast. The hotel is close to lots of restaurants and shops in galle and we would definitely recommend it!

Amazing property and the room was huge, one of our favourites from the trip. It is on a busy street though with lots of noise all night, but once asleep it didn't effect us too much. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE had it out on the balcony which was perfect

Great place to stay. Excellent location, helpful staff, comfortable. Very accomodating about late check out. Breakfast was amazing (very generous and nice variety).

We had a wonderful night at the Bartizan. The staff were absolutely fantastic and so accommodating. The room was amazing, the bed was so comfy and the breakfast was delicious. After walking all around Fort Galle we couldn't have gotten a better location. We'd definitely stay again.

A lovely boutique hotel, great location with easy access to the ramparts. Staff were incredibly helpful and Carl especially went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and at home. Large room with very comfortable bed. Lighting was a little too dim for our needs. I would be glad to recommend the Bartizan to friends. Thank you to all staff for making us feel at home.
