キハ ビーチ(Kiha Beach)

Kiha Beach was undoubtedly one of the most incredible places I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. I cherished every single moment there. The staff was phenomenal, always on hand to assist with anything we needed, and the views from the balcony were breathtaking. However, the highlight was undoubtedly the food: a daily feast of delectable dishes, prepared and served by an exceptional team of chefs and waitstaff. I'm thrilled we decided on Kiha Beach for our stay. I'm eagerly looking forward to returning soon, especially for the Manta Rays season!

After reading plenty of 5 star reviews on Tripadvisor and Google, we booked at Kiha Beach with half-board accommodation. The whole structure is very clean, the room was very nice, the bed really comfortable, the staff very friendly. Still considering that we are not on a resort Island, we rate the structure itself, the rooms and the cleanliness with 4 Stars. In contrast, in our opinion the food deserves max. of 2 stars. While the small breakfast buffet was “ok”, the dinner menu was quite boring. Actually, we were expecting to enjoy every evening a small buffet as we read on all reviews, But in fact, out of the 7 days we spent at Kiha Beach, the buffet was offered only one evening. As for the other days, latest 1 or 2 hours before dinner we were asked to choose dishes out of a menu with one starter, select among two main dishes and 2 desserts. The reason why was probably the low occupancy. Additionally, the staff wanted us to set a fix time for dinner. The food quality was ok, the selection of dishes, however, we found really boring… Ceasar’s salad (all Europeans will probably find the grated parmesan cheese served with it to be terrible) or a soup as a starter. Chicken, beef or tuna fish as main course (the sauces where always quite similar) with a selection of vegetables as side dish that was the same, evening after evening: roasted carrots, potatoes. Ice cream or fruit or chocolate cake or mango custard pudding as a dessert. The mango custard pudding was delicious! For half board customers sprite and cola are included (no need to mention water 😉).  All in all, we rate the price-performance ratio at Kiha Beach not really good.  We were really impressed about the fairness: for health reasons we asked if they would refund us some money if we leave earlier. The management told us, they would refund all the nights we didn’t spend there. It took 3 weeks and several inquiries “where is the money” before we got the reimbursement, but finally the promised amount was credited on our credit card account.  From of the overall friendly staff, we will keep Salim in our heart. A really cool guy, with a fantastic hospitality and helpfulness.  A final comment that has nothing to do with Kiha Beach particularly, but rather with Dharavandhoo itself. We found the island being full of mosquitos (also Asian tiger mosquitos), flies and sandflies. Impossible to enjoy breakfast as buffet and tables were full of flies. Impossible to stay outside or relax on the beach during daylight without repellent, because of the mosquitos and sandflies. For what we could experience, Dharavandhoo does not really have a real/effective mosquito prevention strategy. Especially the area closer to the small forest on the west side is rich of such nasty insects. Therefore, our dream of spending few days with snorkeling and relaxing on the beach vanished short after arrival. During our stay we also learned about 2 persons that contracted a dengue infection during the previous months. O

Large enough to feel like a resort, small enough that they all know your name and treat you like family. We booked our holiday the day before and the team (especially Resanne and Ronniefe) were so helpful in helping us from the minute we touched down in Male. We wouldn’t have been able to organise everything without their help. Loved every second and being on the doorstep of hanifaru bay is just the icing on the cake !

We never go back but khia beach brought us back. Why? The owner Mr N, Ali, the Manager and all the staff cannot do enough to make your stay unforgettable. The rooms overlook Hanifaru Bay which is teaming with Manta Rays & visited by whale sharks- both of which we swam with, with the hotel boat crew. We had dinner on the beach and we can honestly say it was the best we have ever had, everything from the food, atmosphere, staff and of course setting. We spent hour after hour snorkelling the house reef & when tired retired to the hammock to take a snooze. Highly recommend

This is our second visits to the amazing island and hotel. The staff are super helpful and nothing is to much trouble. The entire team from pick up at the airport, the reception staff, the waiters and chef and the boat crew that helped us see the mantas and whale sharks the manager and the owner were all at hand and made our stay the best yet. Honestly if you are coming this way to see the marine life then don’t miss out on this hotel experience.

Il Kiha Beach è una struttura moderna con sole 20 stanze ben arredate e vista mare, le stesse si presentano molto pulite e confortevoli con dimensioni generose, è presente il bollitore, la Wi-Fi in camera, nelle aree comuni e in spiaggia. La struttura è veramente molto carina, strepitoso il rapporto qualità prezzo, noi abbiamo scelto la pensione completa, il servizio è a buffet, non ci sono molti piatti, ma quelli presenti cucinati veramente molto bene. Sempre presente sia pollo che pesce, Il proprietario Ali e il personale sono di una gentilezza disarmante, le escursioni veramente organizzate bene e con tutte le attenzioni. Sicuramente consigliatissimo. Infine la barriera corallina presente davanti all’albergo è molto varia, abbiamo visto le tartarughe e i delfini. La struttura si trova su un’isola di medie dimensioni ed è presente un piccolo aereoporto molto comodo per il collegamento a Malè

È stata una bellissima vacanza! Camera spaziosa ,pulizia ottima ,mangiare abbondante e buono,personale sempre disponibile, sorridenti ,educati a partire dal Direttore sig Ali’.Mare stupendo, escursioni da sogno.Credo proprio dì tornarci.

Tuvimos una buena estancia en el hotel Kiha Beach. Lo mejor sin duda las responsables de recepción, Ana y Sara, que con mucha paciencia respondieron siempre con amabilidad a todas nuestras preguntas y nos ayudaron con los cambios de un vuelo y la reserva en otro hotel de Maldivas. Estuvimos en una habitación familiar confortable, con aire acondicionado, ventilador de techo, nevera y un amplio baño con ducha. No vimos mosquitos en la habitación. Las comidas del hotel fueron variadas, tipo buffet, aunque predominaban los platos locales que a veces no eran de nuestro gusto, en ocasiones muy picantes, con muy pocos platos occidentales. A destacar especialmente las cremas y sopas. No había casi fruta y como único dulce un bizcocho de distinto color cada día pero con el mismo sabor. El hotel tiene una pequeña piscina en la que apenas puedes nadar pero sirve para quitarte la sal del mar. La playa es bonita, tiene hamacas y vegetación hasta la misma orilla, aunque a mí mujer la picaron insectos la mañana que estuvo allí. El agua no es adecuada para gente que no practique snorkel, tiene muchos restos de coral y la parte arenosa apenas tiene 2-3 metros y es en pendiente. El snorkel es muy bonito, se ven muchas clases de peces de todos los tamaños en una plataforma superior, también vimos morenas, alguna tortuga y peces globo. Y abruptamente cae por un arrecife en el que puedes ver tiburones de arrecife y rayas, aunque el agua tiene mucho plancton y disminuye la visibilidad. El principal inconveniente son las excursiones. Nosotros habíamos ido con la esperanza de ver mantas en Hanifaru Bay, pensamos que era la época ideal y que se hacia una búsqueda activa de mantas como pasa en otras islas de Maldivas. Fuimos una semana incluyendo un día de luna llena, donde habíamos leído que era más fácil verlas. Sin embargo, solo hay excursiones para ver mantas en Hanifaru Bay, y esta zona es un parque natural controlado por rangers. Ellos vigilan si hay mantas y avisan a los hoteles. La presencia de mantas depende de muchos factores, como las corrientes de agua, la cantidad de plancton, si está en la superficie, de la fase *****, y de la suerte. Nosotros no la tuvimos y a pesar de estar 7 noches no pudimos disfrutar del espectáculo de las mantas en Hanifaru Bay. Si los rangers dicen que no hay mantas (o son muy pocas), se cancelan las excursiones a Hanifaru. Afortunadamente pudimos ver un grupo de 5 mantas en un punto de limpieza uno de los días, pero estaban a bastante profundidad y no subían apenas a la superficie. Otros centros de buceo de la isla ofrecen excursiones de snorkel similares a las del hotel. Quizá el buceo sea mejor. Las excursiones de snorkel con sandbank son bonitas, pero no difieren mucho del snorkel frente al hotel. En resumen, contentos con el hotel, pero no pudimos disfrutar de nuestro objetivo principal que era hacer snorkel con decenas de mantas en Hanifaru Bay. Quizá mala suerte, pero creo que estuvimos un tiempo suficiente para haber tenido

Vacanza spettacolare! Siamo partiti 4 coppie di amici per 8 giorni. L'hotel è ben posizionato, moderno e curato. La pulizia era ottima e lo staff cordiale e simpatico. Alì, il direttore, una persona speciale che parla italiano molto bene. Grazie a tutti per averci fatto respirare la vera atmosfera maldiviana,ben lontana dal mondo ovattato dei resort. Qua abbiamo vissuto in modo autentico una cultura e un paesaggio speciale. Ottimo anche il cibo.
