ザ・ケイホテル(The Caye Hotel)

The location is supreme, and the hotel was only built 2 years ago so has modern comforts. The pillows and bedding were brand new and very high quality. The hotel has no pool but is right across from the beach. Front desk guy Floyd was very helpful and kind. Just an easy safe and comfy place to stay right close to everything!

Nice place. Modern updated rooms. No elevator so if you get the 5 th floor like we did. Plan on loosing a few lbs. Long hike.

The property is less than 2 years old. Staff is VERY pleasant. Rooms are very clean. Lots of ocean, ferry and restaurants in walking distance. Complimentary breakfast was good. There is no elevator. The rooftop bar wasnt open but there are plenty of other bars close by. I would absolutely stay here again.

The Caye Hotel is located right off the pier from the water taxi and also located on the ***** to eat and sign up for excursions. The hotel was peaceful, spacious rooms, and had a great sunrise view.

We asked for a quiet room, top floor. We got that, except there is a bar above the "top" floor! Thankfully, it was closed during the few nights we were there, but beware. There is no elevator in the hotel, so we walked up and down 4 flights several times a day...ok for us as we are healthy, but could be a problem for others. Staff was nice, manager was excellent, housekeeping was great. Big issue was the breakfast. We got vouchers each morning for the small, adjacent breakfast restaurant. There were 6 things on the menu, but 2 were no longer served. Of the 4 things, none were good. We don't eat a lot of sugar/carbs and we need some protein, so pancakes, french toast and bagel (sadly, I tried it once...pathetic piece of limp dough) were out. That left eggs with bacon, fruit and toast. The eggs were soaked in grease, the bacon undercooked, the toast had no substance and the fruit was one 2 inch triangle of watermelon that was not ripe. We got one drink, either juice or coffee and no coffee refills! We paid extra for more. We also paid for to-go cups when we wanted to take coffee out. The hotel could do a lot better, or just not advertise free breakfast and consider providing tea and coffee until mid morning. The water cooler in the lobby was not functioning, so we had to buy water to fill our bottles...minimal expense, just a hassle to carry a gallon up 4 flights...water, besides the 2 bottles in our room, is an amenity they could provide. Overall, a nice hotel with drawbacks.

We liked the place for everything other then: Not many options for breakfast There was a loud party at 2 am one night. When we complained about it in the morning, front desk just said yes they were aware and nothing they could do about behaviour of the drunk guests. This was a very unsatisfactory response. No apologies for our disturbed night. Very disappointed about this attitude towards us as paying guests.

I wish there was an elevator! It would have been very nice to spend evenings up on the lovely patio on the roof but one of the people we were traveling with could not go up that many steps. The rooms on the front of the hotel are quite noisy at night, mainly due to the foot traffic and the basketball court. Nothing to be done about that I know. It was a good thing I had earplugs and my partner is a very sound sleeper. If we stay here again we will request a room more towards the back of the hotel. Staff was always friendly and helpful and available 24 hours a day. The rooms were clean. Just a forewarning you need to ask for the ice machine to be turned on. The breakfasts were nice, although they frequently ran out of things such as milk for coffee, jam for toast and some menu options were not available. This type of thing is to be expected living on an island, however the fact that we could visit the grocery store next to the hotel and buy these things was odd. One would think there would be times where there would be allowances if they needed to buy from the store rather than have to wait for supplies to be delivered. We did go and buy milk and jam which we shared with other guests. It was a lovely stay, the hotel was well located on the main street.

The name is program - this is the ultimate hotel at this island, starting with the snug breakfast place, comfortable rooms, and up to the leisurely rooftop area providing great overview and a bar service on certain days.

The hotel is located in the heart of Caulker, right across the street from the water taxi dock. I don't know when they first opened their gates because it seems almost new. It's a 4 star hotel right on the beach. Staff was nice and ready to help. Breakfast (it was included in our reservation) complied. Good taste and generous amount. Would I return? Most definitely!
