Beautiful place lovely staff

Hut tub not working. Loud people in hallway at 3am. Hotel staff took over one hour and multiple calls to get people out of the hallway. Need better security.

Upon check-in, I was offered an upgraded room for free so I would be in a quieter section of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet - a little dated, but unless you’re concerned about the most recent decor, it was quite nice. The pool, spa, and hot tub were AMAZING. This will be our go-to hotel in Barrie from now on.

Our bed was broken. We checked out three hours. After arrival there was not another king size bed suitable so we’re hoping we can make arrangements for a stay another night for free.

It was very noisy my first night there..one of the noisiest hotel stays I've ever had. The linens smelt like bleach. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean.

Toilet backed up. Called front desk and asked for a plunger to be brought up to room. Never happened. Hotel lost power late evening. Was off all night and still off when I left. Froze in room. Got zero sleep. Stayed there a few times....will have to consider elsewhere next time.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, surprised in a good way that the Sauna and hot tub were working (was under impression it wasn't). The room was good, nothing out of the ordinary for a hotel. Disappointed that the pool was closed, but other than that I was happy with my overall experience. I would stay here again.

Checking in, found our that access to the low rise 2 floor motel section is not suitable for handicapped guests. There was either a flight of stairs or you had to walk a considerable distance to get level access. The handicap parking was near the lobby, and the lights in the parking lot werent working so we couldnt see the sidewalk and curbs. After walking in the dark about 200 feet from the handicapped parking, then down a hallway about another100 feet I finally left my husband behind to go back to the lobby to get a suitable room in the accessible part of the hotel with an elevator. The room cost $50 more...but what can you do. It should be clarified on the website that the cheaper "popular with travellers" rooms are not easily accessible. I booked weeks in advance and would have booked a different room, in the tower, or booked another hotel if I had known in advance there would be a problem.
