The most iconic hotel in Anchorage, I had to stay even if I could only afford one night. Everything was good, the room was a bit small. Definitely paying big city prices for little old Alaska, which can feel like price gouging.

Excellent location at the heart of downtown. However it’s a bit dated. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby all within walking distance. Will stay again if visit anchorage again.

The hotel is very tired and is in desperate need of a renovation. My biggest issue was that housekeeping knocked on the door three times after we checked in trying to come in. The next morning, someone barged in at 8:15 AM unannounced. She claimed she knocked, but if so it was too light to hear. I found that rather ridiculous as if they were trying to get us out of the room early to get ready for the next round of guests. For what we paid, this hotel was a huge rip off. The furniture in the room was sagging and I just did not feel clean in the room.

Nice hotel, very clean, but EXPENSIVE for such a small room and breakfast not included. I wanted to explore the shops and galleries, but they all closed early. The place is huge, kind of a maze. My kids were excited there was a pool, but when we went down there, it was very clear that this was not a family pool, as it was part of the athletic club and set up for lap swims. Also, I had to go to the pool with my girls even though I wasn't swimming, because the men's and women's locker rooms are on opposite sides of the hotel (and then meet in the middle at the pool), so I couldn't just send them down with my husband, or they would have gotten lost trying to find the women's area by themselves. We were happy with our stay, but not sure the cost was worth it for only one night.

First I was given a room with no view. As a first time customer that got flew into town late, if there’s a room with a nice view available, why not suggest it instead of just giving a view of the parking lot? One can get the same view at a fraction of the cost of you’re just going to see a parking lot. I had asked for a late check out, which they put in the notes but at 8am housekeeping came in my room and woke me up! Bathroom mirror was missing hardware and barely hanging onto the wall. Absolute terrible experience! Will not be staying there again. Don’t waste your money.

Honestly, we had a great time, but I think we encountered some kind of entity that was in our room as well as us. As strange as this sounds, we woke up and my shoe had been moved from the floor to the desk and it was filled with water…like to the brim. It was the strangest occurrence. I later read the hotel was ******* so I’m assuming it was a prank…nothing scary, just very strange. We would stay here again because we are so amused and curious about the shoe incident.

Great location in downtown, walkable to the mall, restaurants and the costal trail. Property is clean, staff very friendly and helpful, food is excellent, loved the pool and workout area. Didnt like that, other than valet parking for $37, there is no other dedicated hotel parking area. Just whatever paid lot you can find around the hotel,

I'm used to traveling cheap so this was very spendy for me. However, you know it's a great hotel if all the airlines check their pilots in here. The convenience for getting on and off the freeway was great and all the staff were extremely friendly. Super comfortable beds and food at the restaurants was fantastic. Was not expecting that there would be no parking though.

Nice hotel, centrally located in Downtown Anchorage. The hotel has a variety of restaurants and shops that was perfect for a snowy December.
