Excelente estadia.

3 1/2 out of 5. We’ve just returned from a family break and firstly we did have a lovely time. Food and drink are good, especially in the bookable restaurants. It was all warm/hot with lots to choose from. If you are a beige food eater you will eat the same food every day. If not there’s lots of choice and themes even in the buffet. Cocktails are individually made and taste good. You can also get resort credit to eat at a local restaurant one night of your stay, again ask as this wasn’t promoted on check in. The train into Alvor is very handy as is the short walk over the bridge to a beautiful beach. We also made use of the free pass to zoomarine so make sure you ask about this on check in if you stay longer than a week. We got Ubers there and back with a total of €45 which felt reasonable. The facilities are great. Lots of pools, sports activities and wellness centre. Staff are really friendly and helpful. We are enjoyed chatting with Habib in the Roastic restaurant. What could be better - the pools state they are heated to 26 degrees and this is the main reason we booked this hotel. They are not consistently heated and therefore get cold quickly. This was really disappointing and our little girl could only manage 20 minutes in the pool at a time. Almost like boiling a kettle in the morning and expecting it to be hot in the evening. The booking system for a la carte restaurants also needs to be looked at. Queuing for 45 minutes to be offered limited availability is not what I’d expect from a 5 star hotel. I’d image this along with the bar queues are much longer in school holidays.

Just leaving this beautiful hotel, rooms very comfortable and spacious. We had ground floor room which had a lovely garden with sun loungers. Buffet restaurant had plenty of choice just wish food could have been a bit warmer. Italian and Grill restaurants both very good. 5 minute train ride to Alvor which picks you up at hotel runs every hour. Beautiful fishing village just visits were ruined by the rain. My son who is 11 was a bit bored think they could do more activities around the pool maybe they do in the summer months. Not sure! Overall lovely place

We have been in this hotel last year and it was a dream, this year the experience was much different. The rooms are nice and tidy, the people are very hard working and friendly but the people in reception need to smile a bit more. I don't normally male negative comments but cutting our wristband at 12am even so pur flight is not die till 10pm is ridiculous, expecially when we arrive here in the morning hours. You been literally kicked out of the hotel!!! Management sort it out as this is a red line for a lot of families.

I would like to just add to my previous review the only negative point we could find, which was the fact that the Kids Club didn't have a first aid kit. That is as much as a constructive 'negagive' feedback I can give, and maybe a little more variety between days at the buffet

Absolutely rude customer service with hardly any facilities! Gym only has 2 treadmills and 2 bicycles and when they accidently get your order wrong they will blame you instead!kids club has hardly any toys and if you fancy undercooked food for breakfast be my guest! Also dare you expect an omlette for breakfast you will be asked to pay premium!

Fantastic stay at the Tivoli Alvor hotel. Our experience was 5 star. Buffet food was brilliant, 2 additional restaurants both fantastic but make a reservation as soon as you can. Swimming pools all fantastic and even at busy times (we stayed during half term) never a problem. If you want peace and quiet use the adult pool. Kids loved football pitch and padel court. A walk down to the beach at the end of the day definitely recommended, also eating out in the near by village of Alvor. We ate some of the best Sea Bass we've ever had. Had to laugh when we heard someone complain the strength of their cocktail - really felt sorry for the Portuguese staff having to deal with compulsive complainers! All in all, an immaculate hotel with fantastic service, something for everyone - will be back.

About an hour’s drive from Faro airport. Visited in may when the Portuguese weather was dream like. The resort is a short walk from Praia Dos Tres Irmao. The staff in the resort were very helpful. Everyone of them had a smile on their face, and tried their best to make our stay better. Food is good but not wow. We managed to book Roastic but even there the food was 6/10. The problem with booking these specialized restaurants is one can only book it physically, and not online. The places get filled up rapidly. Got a credit ( Euro 55) to spend in an outside restaurant. Alcohol and other drinks are free, but you can imagine the queues on these bars are always very long especially considering majority are British tourists. There are 3 swimming pools for children but are more crowded than london tube in rush hour. Overall a good experience, but the money we spent for 4 days probably next time we could explore for better options.

Spent a week here at the end of May having been here previously 2 years ago when it was a Pestana property. When we were here we thought the hotel overall was good but by no means even close to the 5 star it was billed as and I’m sorry to so it’s deteriorated quite a bit in a lot of areas. The good Rooms are spacious, clean and well presented enough At the time we were here there seemed to be just about enough beds and umbrellas but it was by no means at capacity The staff overall are friendly and hard working The bad The food isn’t great and the quality has definitely gone downhill The whole property looks tired and needs some serious TLC. Some of these things are so easy to sort such as attending to the gardens, quite a lot of weeds/dead plants - the buildings need a good power wash which you would think could have happened during close season The a la carte booking system was involves queuing at a specified time hoping to get a reservation and is so out of date. Surely this could be dealt with through an app? The queues to get drinks are ludicrous and there is nowhere near enough staff serving. No self serve machines either which used to be in abundance and would massively help this aspect Entertainment or lack of is lacking table for a supposed 4 star hotel It just isn’t a particularly good hotel and I feel you would definitely feel short changed. We won’t return to this hotel but love Alvor so would source alternative accommodation next time. Such a shame!
