Country Garden Phoenix Hotel

Our flight was cancelled and only rescheduled a day later, we decided to stay at this hotel for its luxury amenities and facade. We were very wrong to book a room at this hotel. This hotel looks luxurious but it is far from it. The hotel is falling apart and many of the advertised amenities do not work or are suspended. We specifically booked a room at this hotel to spend the day at the pool only finding out the next day that the pool opens at 2pm and we are supposed to check out at 3pm. Also the room and bathroom fixtures are breaking off and the hot water wasn't working when I wanted to take a shower at 10am. Also the inside of the hotel was blistering hot as they do not turn on the air-conditioning in the hotel lobby, restaurant or corridors. The room air conditioning was also atrocious we put the room temperature on the coldest but it didn't really work. The breakfast was also very low budget as the selection was very limited for western pallets. The view and location of this hotel looks amazing but do not be deceived by the facade as this hotel is terrible. DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel is going out of business and you will only waste your money.

Great place. Absolutely fantastic. We didn’t have a room with a perfect view but we had an amazing room nonetheless and was surrounded by the beautiful mountains. And the clerks were amazing. Truly helpful and friendly with everything. If you’re travelling talk to the taxi drivers (provided you can speak Chinese) they can help you organise a lot better than any travel agent as they know the city. And this was amazing advice the clerks also confirmed.

It's a very large and nice hotel. The rooms are large and spacious, though the staff don't speak much English, they were very helpful nonetheless. It's close the national forest park, and not too far away from the station. Breakfast is nothing special, if given the option, I'd prefer not to eat.

Booked this hotel because they showcase a big swimming pool. I asked for a room near the pool. But after I checked in, got my swimming clothes on, and went to the pool, they told me it's closed for maintenance. In the summer?? Room was nice, but the convenience shop was closed, and the only restaurant was dowwright depressing. Drove back into town for dinner. Speaking of, it's hard to get a Didi/taxi back into town. I feel bad for the staff, they are trying their best, but the management needs to step up.

CLEAN, FRIENDLY, SERVICE GOOD.

Although this has a 5-star rating I don’t think it can be called one now. When it first opened I believe so but wear and tear have helped this hotel drop a few ratings. It is an extremely large hotel with a swimming pool, gym and 3-4 wings. I stayed in ‘A’ wing. Check-in was swift and easy. XiaKeren was helpful with any questions I had. My room was ok with a balcony. There was some mould and the furniture is a bit outdated. Breakfast I didn’t enjoy, substandard and it felt like a Mess Hall with everyone rushing and pushing for food…I went a lot different times of the morning over 2 days.

Great and super friendly service!!! 李姿 took care of us so well, we felt very welcome. She helped us with everything and she realy made us feel special.
