Yangshuo Gegeshu Hotel (Yangshuo Yulonghe Scenic Area)

Stayed with my family for five nights in July. It was good value for a guest house. There is a kitchen open from 7am-9pm serving a good selection of food. Some of the facilities could do with renewing and attention. Service at the restaurant was a little slow sometimes. But the staff are helpful and can arrange trips for you to local attractions. I’d recommend it if you want a place to stay out of a big city. It has great views of the mountains.

Positives: Location is great, nearby all the paths that run along the river and through the mountains. Helpful staff that can sort scooter and bike rentals. They also sorted any day trips for us which made everything easy. Negatives: Restaurant service was awful, bunch of students running it and they forgot orders or brought out wrong food. Food was good but service was so so bad. At one point it took 45 minutes to get a coffee.

The giggling tree was a cozy stay for my few days in Yangshuo. The staff is beyond friendly and made my solo trip a comfortable one. I enjoyed all meals, particularly the simple western breakfast as well as the local rice noodle breakfast (they also have a great cup of coffee). The hotel is located very close to the river and you can easily access the walking or biking path for a ride in the countryside. The only complaint is that the room ceiling near the window leaked during the heavy rainfalls and created a big puddle on the floor.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in total and we found it a great gateway from the others spots in the area which are way too touristy. Giggling tree might not have the best views from to room but you would be certainly satisfied with the cost and friendly atmosphere of the whole place. Me and my friends found it very relaxing and would recommend it again to anyone who wants to stay in Yangshuo.

The hotel was located in an ideal place to visit many of the tourist locations. The room was fine for my purpose and the shower was great. - a large walk in shower. It was a real bonus to have a swimming pool on the site and all the staff were very friendly

It’s hard to describe how amazing our stay at the giggling tree was. The staff is the best and very helpful, the hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the restaurant serves good food. A must stay when you are planning to visit the area! Alice, curry and all the others: thank you so much for everything! We can’t wait to visit you again.

Amazing place with kindest people! Absolutely loved Yangshuo and mainly because of people and how small and convenient the place is! Definitely will be back ❤️ Rooms are great, food and coffee are nice! Tried the noodles for breakfast 🙌🏼

I liked the hotel building and the interior so much that I regretted making a reservation only for one night. When I stayed there, I understood why Westerners prefer this hotel. All the staff were kind, the food was delicious, and the menu was diverse. If I ever come back to Yangsu-oh, I would definitely like to stay. And personally, I would like to thank Alice (?) who was a fluent English employee who helped me give first aid when my husband fell and got injured.
