シーヴァナ コー マック ビーチリゾート(Seavana Koh Mak Beach Resort)

The beach setting at Seavana is really stunning - the views are breathtaking although in February it was only possible to swim in the morning/ early afternoon. After that the tide was so low it was impossible. But the view is still stunning! Upon arrival at Seavana it was clear to us that although this small hotel would have been beautiful with an interesting concept when it was built some 10 years ago, it is now is desperate need of a drastic maintenance, gardening and cleaning programme. The staff at Seavana are so nice - however, they are severely lacking in either training or equipment to carry out their duties. Not their fault but something the owner who we believe is resident in Bangkok needs to address and take seriously. Jeannie the head receptionist was a star - but clearly under great pressure due to the lack of trained staff. Her kindness and efficiency knows no bounds. In the restaurant and evening Bar Joy is an absolute Joy and totally dedicated to her duties, both her and Jeannie should be given the credit they justly deserve. We reserved a BEACH FRONT SUITE - a two storey room with an upstairs terrace and resting area. Downstairs contained the bedroom and bathroom and outside a raised terrace with sunbeds set back from the beach to offer protection from the sandflies! The concept of the room is very good. BUT it was in great need of drastic maintenance, the staircase to the upstairs terrace had exposed nails, the wall to offer both seclusion and safety when using the staircase had fallen down and was incredibly shabby. The standard of housekeeping was very much wanting. I believe due to the total lack of training and equipment available to the good hearted and eager staff. The bathroom design seems to have a major fault in that urine from the toilet can be smelt from both the shower and hand basin - not pleasant! Whilst the selection on the menu was acceptable its production was not what we usually receive in Thailand. Once again, we think this is due to both training, cleanliness and quality of product which was clearly wanting once again. Overall whilst we really appreciated the kindness of the staff and the location it cannot be stressed enough that the owner/s really does need to ensure that the required maintenance - training and equipment programme is taken serriously or the standard currently being offere will no doubt have a very detrimental affect on the occupancy rates and client satisfaction very quickly.

What a perfect place to chill, the Seavana Resort on Koh Mak runs along a beautiful swimming beach laced with white sand, deck chairs, loungers and hammocks. Our room had a seaview through the grass and trees, and a lovely big deck to sit to relax on with chairs and an inbuilt day bed. The room were large, two great big beds, and had everything you needed. Big bathroom area. We could not fault this place. The staff were just so friendly and helpful, a shout out to the lady who ran breakfast and the bar, sorry we did not get your name, but so smiley and happy and the bar made the best moijitos. the restaurant was very cool, a delicious breakfast with great cappacinos. every meal we had we enjoyed, loved the sea bass and cashew salad dish. the bar area was on high ground with bean bags where you could chill out and look at the stunning view.  We hired a golf cart for like $40 NZ for 24 hours and that was awesome, we drove around the quiet island stopping at beaches, cafe and for shopping. There was another resort along the beach by the pier which had a shop, a restaurant and cafe that did ice cream . We went across to Koh Kham island, the abandoned hotel, and the beach was beautiful, and really enjoyed the swimming in that beach.  So many tourists visiting but plenty of space to swim. Only lasted an hour, not much to do other than swim and sunbathe, which we would do back at seavana. We were concerned when we read the reviews about sandflies. we stockkd up on DEET, but we did not see any, other than after sundown sitting on our deck a few wre flying around, but at the bar, the beach, the restaurant, we never saw any sandflies or mosquitos.  I would definitely recommend this magical piece of paradise.

Quiet, relaxing and you will be looked after by the nicest staff! After repeated visits it continues to impress. Beach, pool, massage, kayaks and golf carts to go exploring this is a special place for those who want to enjoy this beautiful island that is free of massive hordes of tourists. A joy to spend time here!

The location is paradise. The hotel grounds are natural and gorgeous. There are bugs but you're in a tropical climate so that should be expected, in any hotel. We used DEET frequently and didn't experience any sandflies. A short kayak trip will take you to the beautiful Koh Kham, and a short walk will take you to Blue Pearl pier. The staff are genuine, kind and helpful. The meals and drinks prepared throughout the day are delicious. There is an effort to be environmentally sustainable here and far less plastic is used compared to our other stays on this trip. The transfer to Trat airport was superb also. We are so grateful for our wonderful stay, we will return.

Up on arrival to seavana we had high expectations of the resort. Their website and reviews where wonderful. And than our stay started. The staff and al the personal are wonderful. They all where highly motivated and did everything to make you feel welcome and happy. We had some laundry and expected that the resort had a laundry service. They had but stopped after some people had complained that things weren't clean and damaged. So the staff at the front desk were so nice to drop out laundry at a local store. But... A Resort this size should have a laundry service. And they do. A good laundry service for their one laundry. So why not make responsible denial Form that the customer should Sign.... Problem solved The house did look nice. We had two suite/houses with seaview and it looked super. On the photos on their internet site everything looked brandnew...... But unfortunately this is not so. The houses are old and dated. The showers hardly given any water. The floors are super slippery when wet.... There are a lot of Ants in the bad area. When you fill the bathtub outside and pull the plug after your Bath suddenly cockroaches appear in the shower area. There must be a connection between the septic tank (sewer) and the bathtub - shower. So no more using the bathtub because we don't like cockroaches.. On the first day a British guy came up to us and gave us some pointers on do's and dont's. He was not Happy with the restaurant at Seavana. After a few meals there we now know why.... Comparing to all the restaurants we have visited in Thailand this is by far the one that ends on the last place. It is not bad, but a high class resort like Seavana should have a high class restaurant. And they dont have one. To come back at the staff. Waitress, Garden/ housekeeping the front desk were al super. They work 10 hrs. A day. Morning 6 hrs. Than everything closes from 16.00 up to 18.00 hrs. Than the staff starts working from 18.00 untill 22.00 hrs. You Beginn to understand the issue. At the high time of the day, everything is closed. For te staff it is good to get 2 hrs of..... But for the paying customer its necessary to go to another restaurant. Seavana misses a big opportunity here in my opinion. Get 4 more staff and everyone will be happy. Staff at first and than the hotel/paying customer. The issues we faced. We had 2 suites at the beach. First night both airconditionings stopt working. They repaired it the next day. Than it was oke for 2 nights. The problem started again on the fourth night. Inside your bedroom 28 degrees celcius is not nice. In the other suite te airco was cold on the daytime and went warm on the nighttime.... From the five Nights we stayed, tree nights the airco did not work. (Ad1: the resort reduced our bill for the inconvenience with the AC with thai Bath 2655 = half the price one room/one night. April turns out to be a good time to visit Seavana. Last visit was in January, the wind was constant all day, the sea was rough, and unpleasant sea creatures prevented us from swimming peacefully. The water during this trip was nice and clear. Early morning swim with little fish, late morning Thai massage, good meals, and brief yoga lesson at sun set is a hard to beat as a vacation package.

Currently staying in a beachfront villa- large room and massive balcony over looking the sea . The beach is sandy, sea is warm and the staff are the friendliest people. Restaurant serves a good breakfast (eggs, pancakes, bacon etc) and good quality western and Thai food in the evening. (Also lunch snacks like club sandwich , spring rolls etc ) Within 5 minutes walk is a superb Japanese sushi restaurant and a minimart . Also a cocktail bar and restaurant 5 mins along beach . Kayaks free. We also rented bikes and toured the island . (Scooters and golf buggies available). Loved watching the great sunsets with a glass of wine on a quiet beach ! Hard to fault !! Highly recommended!

We have just returned from seavanna resort on koh mak Thailand, I have to say it was absolutely amazing from start to finish not one bad review Food was amazing, staff were amazing, superior beach front we choose was the best option on this visit right on the beach with morning views to die for every morning we are currently looking to book again for 2024 right now as we loved this island so much

We spent 8 wonderful days at Seavana and all we can say is we will be back. As soon as we got to the pier our bags were collected and we were taken to paradise. The resort is stunning from the welcome at reception, the wonderful beachfront location to the spectacular rooms, everything was exceptional. The staff were all friendly and worked really hard. Breakfast was a buffet with a good selection of fruit, yogurt, cereals, salads and a selection of cooked breakfast to order. The restaurant menu was extensive and all the food was superb quality. We loved every moment we spent here.
