I was on a business trip late February and was staying here. Where do I begin!? The staff consisted of incredibly rude teenage girls who were snickering and making gestures behind my back when I am in reception. On top of that gossiping about unholy things you would not like to hear from a youngster. Cherry on top, the room seemed as if it had not been cleaned from the previous guest, the toilet was blocked - and all I could smell was damp. 0/10 DO NOT STAY HERE!

When you have a mental Saturday, the best thing about having a restaurant like this is you can on Sunday pop out and get a takeaway Sunday dinner, solves all the problems of planning and preparation, soup, main and a desert. All in insulated tubs so home as hot as served

Only about two blocks from the Ferry Terminal. Nice restaurant. Roz at the front desk was extremely helpful in getting us a ride to the Callanish standing stones. Conveniently located to most things you might want to see. (Was there in 2022 not 2023).

The heating was not working properly and the room was freezing. Complained to reception and was told they had two heaters ,but unfortunately they had been given to other guests. Offered to send up some blankets to wrap ourselves up with. Not very good.

We stayed with our shinty team for 1 night while we were over from Stirling playing a tournament. The rooms were lovely and the staff were brill. We arrived right at the end of breakfast service and there was not a lot of food left but the chef made us more! He was an absolute legend and said he'd make anything we wanted. 10/10 would go back to Stornoway purely for that breakfast.

Looks lovely from the outside, however, appearances are deceptive, the interior is lacklustre. Positives - Lovely staff, great breakfast. Cons - Dated decor, cold interior, no climate control, just a radiator in the room, no thermostat, dirty bathroom, broken and draughty single glazed window, kettle still had water in from previous guest, Spoon was dirty in the room, carpet was tired and dirty, holes in the towel, poor quality toiletries, Thin duvet that just about co ers the bed. Restaurant - Poor choice, carvery was OK, vegetable selection is poor, soggy carrots, red cabbage was soggy, roast and boiled spuds were good tho. £8.50 for a dessert, come on its cheaper in the Holiday Inn in London 😂. Dated decor, very canteen like. It's a shame, it has so much potential, get a TV up in the bar, re arrange the furniture and spend a bit of money on the place. It's definitely no IHG hotel and if people think that it's grand then they need to get out a bit more 😂 #sorrynotsorry

Nice spacious room and bathroom, would have preferred a walk in shower. Comfortable bed and plenty of storage space. The dining area was bit like a works canteen. A buffet with a good choice of food, although the some of the veg was bit soggy. Breakfast was the usual choice but tea and coffee was not particularly warm, served from thermos jugs. The staff were very pleasant and the service was excellent. Bar prices were a bit steep.

Maybe I made a mistake but I thought I'd booked a double room with a double bed. We got an accessible room with twin beds and a disabled persons bathroom! However the beds were comfortable and the room was clean, tidy and warm. The food on offer was very good, with a massive choice at breakfast, and the evening restaurant also provided either an al a carte menu or carvery/buffet style hot food. The staff were a mixed bag. One gentleman was very friendly and we chatted for some time about Lewis and local attractions etc. Others were perhaps too busy and we had to ask for a few things like milk for our tea, juice glasses, salt and pepper etc. On site parking was very good. Overall we enjoyed our stay despite the shortcomings.

I stayed for one night on business in room 3, which was large, clean and had all the facilities you would need (although Wi-Fi was a bit spotty and unreliable). Clearly recently renovated and upgraded. The common areas are however very dated. The buffet breakfast was good, although the coffee was poor. Excellent location only a few minutes walk from the town centre.
