We stayed at the Venustas for a week in August. We loved it. It's a small hotel, just 10 or so rooms on the 4th floor of a heritage building. There's a small passenger lift to the 4th floor, which we were very grateful for! The reception staff were very friendly, nothing was too much bother. We asked for extra pillows and coat hangers which were delivered very quickly. There's a small safe in the room for valuables. We had a triple room, for my husband, daughter and I. The room had a kingsize bed and a sofa bed. There was a large TV and plenty of space for 3 of us to store our clothes. The full length windows made the room very light during the day, with blackout curtains for night time. The aircon was a life saver - temperatures of 32+ degrees during the day and approx 26 degrees at night meant we needed that cool air from the aircon to keep us comfortable. The room was cleaned every day, fresh towels if we needed them, beds made and floor swept. The bathroom had a large (2 person) shower, a toilet, bidet and sink. Quite a large bathroom with windows and shutters. The hotel has guest wifi. The location is fantastic - there are a few bus routes into the centre that stop just outside the hotel door. One of which, the "100" route, does a circular tour of the city. And the hotel is so close to the main attractions, you could just walk it - for example it's only a 15 minute walk across the Ponte Cavour bridge to the Spanish Steps. Just around the corner from the hotel is Piazza Cavour, very pretty with palm trees full of green parrots! A really good gelato shop "Neve di Latte" is just a few minutes walk away, plus the Pizzeria across the road from the hotel does a great espresso and pastries for breakfast. Thanks Barbara and the rest of the Venustas team - we'll be back. :-)
