The stay was lovely, fantastic service, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious, every day there is something new to try, they cook fresh eggs up to your liking. They even do laundry 🧺 which is very quick. The location is great, shopping complex 'checkers' bear by, restaurant 'spur' are very nearby. The area is nice, quiet and clean. Staff staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious, in summary we enjoyed our stay and wish we stayed longer! Will def recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Oudtshoorn area. Keep up the good work. Thank you to Lynda for the hospitality :)

We were tired and some one recommended the BB. A truly good experience. The staff helped us with a smile and the room are neat and well maintained. We have never stayed so well in the area and will stay whenever we visit the town.

The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. Very close to most restaurants and the breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay again. Bonus was they all made friends with my pup who was welcomed with open arms

What a great and peaceful experience. The hostess made we feel right at home and encouraged us to explore Oudtshoorn and the surrounding areas. Rooms where clean, beds perfect after a hard day's work. The breakfast was to die for.

If you’re looking for a guest house in this part of South Africa then look no further. My wife and I stayed at this guest house as part of our Garden Route trip whist on holiday and we can’t recommend anything other than fantastic. Rooms our spotlessly clean and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and you’ll certainly leave on a full stomach. And last but definitely not least are the staff they are a credit to this establishment really do look after you.

This hotel was so amazing, the attention to detail was second to none, the shower was one of best I've had, swimming pool and garden area was absolutely beautiful. There is hand crafted south African art everywhere that set the place of perfectly. Breakfast was really nice, fruit and yogurt followed up with very well cooked breakfast. Seriously can't recommend this place enough, from location to people to the food there was nothing I wouldn't recommend. If you are looking for a place STOP and pick this place you can thank me later in the comments

I have traveled to quite a few countries and lived in many hotels and guesthouses. I have to tell you that De Akker is one of the best guesthouses in the world: good location, spacious yard, security gate, pretty garden, cozy pool, comfortable bed, clean shower room, and so on. To my surprise, we were served with hot breakfast with our choices: egg, sausage, bacon, tomato, and tomato, or any combination of these. The hostess is kind to her guests and helpful with any information you need. There are six rooms with various arrangements. We were treated as VIP guests and I would recommend you to De Akker Guesthouse if you travel to Oudtshoorn!
