スタッフはとてもフレンドリーで親切です。部屋は清潔で快適です。食事は美味しいです。ブルーラグーンに滞在するのは素晴らしい経験です。将来は間違いなくまた戻ってきます。リゾートでは毎日さまざまなアクティビティがあり、数日は沢井羅洞窟への旅行や山に登ることができます。強くお勧めします。

One word- fantastic!!!! But most importantly people people people! Every single person working in this hotel is pure gold! We were traveling with 2 young kids ages 3 and 5 and the staff showed so much genuine love to them, entertaining them when they can, hugging, hi 5-ing all the time. It is not kid-family “targeting” resort so it does not have playgrounds or slides or kids club like many big resorts do. But honestly we didn’t miss it. If that’s what you need then pick some of the bigger resorts not to be disappointed. We wanted to give true Fijian experience to our kids so they exactly got that. Food was soo tasty and just amazing!!!!!! Also compared to any other resort in Fiji. You pay for drinks on top but it is same everywhere else in Fiji. Beautiful reef for snorkeling literally off the beach. We saw black tip reef sharks just standing at the beach. Our 5 years old loved snorkling!!! All the snorkeling gears (including for kids), kayaks and paddle board are free of charge. Guided free snorkeling tours every, shark/coral talks every day with marine biologists. On Fridays they do Kava ceremony which was super nice. I loved how staff in general would engage with the guests during late evening hours, especially solo travellers felt very taken care by everyone. We are also so grateful to the management for their generous help with the nurse appointment. Our little boy got his ear infection back (he had one before we travelled to Fiji) in the morning of our departure day. Within minutes that I informed the staff, not knowing what to do, the manager of the hotel organized a speed boat (completely free of charge) and 3 super lovely Fijian staff took us to the village in a different island where we could get checked and get antibiotics. We made it back to the island on time for our ferry. We unfortunately can’t remember all the names but Moses- you are amazing and the hat you made will travel to Denmark with us. Lessy- our boys had crush on you, thank you for being so sweet! A lovely elderly man in the band (whose son also works there), Eliassa from the bar, jack, levay, snorkling instructors, Seta, hotel manager - you all are amazing! Vinaka.

Everything about this resort was wonderful. ”Resort” here is not what you'd envision from typical American, Mexican, or Caribbean resorts. It's more of a remote, primitive grouping of around 20 beach or garden huts scattered on a private and quiet stretch of the island, far from anything and everything. Just outside this small resort is a local village where about 350 villagers live, several of whom work at Octopus. To get to the village, one must pass across to the other side of the island, walking through dense bush in a very remote setting. But that experience alone is an unforgettable memory in and of itself. I spent just a night here and two days enjoying my beachfront bure, lounging in the hammock, walking through the soft white sand, and snorkeling with the most colorful fish and bright reefs—it was all perfect. The highlight, of course, was the visit to the local village—Nalauwaki Village—where the people live very differently than we do, yet have such a wonderful place to call home. They wake up next to a vibrant sea, where they can catch fresh fish daily. They live on an island meant for postcards with bush, mountains, and perfect beaches. Despite their different lifestyle, they are happy, kind, and content—a quest many of us in America chase daily. My beachfront bure was excellent. #16 - request that one! From an outdoor bathroom to a private deck, hammock, beach bed and loungers everything was terrific. I will be back!

The website photos makes this look like a luxe stay but the bures have a tired, worn-out feel and need a lot of maintenance. I suspect the pictures were taken fifteen years ago when the resort opened and not much upkeep has been done since. The floors are faded and scratched - a simple refinishing would go a long way. The structure has apparently settled as there are gaps in the joints and the bathroom ceiling sags. Speaking of the bathroom, the shower head has corroded out in a few places and delivers a seriously inconsistent spray. Design-wise, the water closet is too small: everything is based on one-meter squares and it's smaller than an airplane toilet. (I hit my head on the door every time I sat down on the toilet). The water heater for our bure is much too small (probably 100 litres) and running out of hot water was the norm. Also no showers back-to-back, the heater needs recovery time. While the photos show all of these wide-open doors to let the outside in, when we suggested it the staff said it was a bad idea because of all the mosquitos. They also helpfully suggested that we don't take a walk to the beach down the road as a number of guests have been robbed while walking down the road. I'm not sure how the website can claim that the bures are 860 square feet; the interior space is 4x8 meters (344 sq feet) and including the outside verandah, the size is 52 sq meters (560 sq feet). Maybe the footprint of the canvas roof is 860 square feet but claiming that as the size of the bure is quite a stretch. On the positive side: The grounds are beautiful, the staff was very helpful and the food was quite good. If the owners had just taken six months of the COVID shutdown to perform some routine maintenance, and if the grounds were in a safer location, this would have been an easy recommendation. As it is, we wouldn't return and I wouldn't recommend it to friends...
