Great experience. The restaurant lights were very low light :(

This is the second time we've visited this lodge (first time was 10 years ago) and they still amaze us. If you want to check out a truly spectacular property, then look no further. The open patio bar looks out over the property slope giving you an amazing view, and in the evening they have a bonfire on the patio. The restaurant, food options and quality are first rate with an ambience that doesn't disappoint. If the beauty of the actual property aren't enough, the friendliness and genuine compassion of the staff will blow you away. We were there for a family vacation/safari to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. We were at the bar having a drink talking about her birthday. Purity, one of the staff members, overheard us and came over and gave birthday wishes. An hour later we went for dinner at the restaurant, and just as we were finnishing dinner, many of the staff joined a Congo line singing and dancing their way to our table with a birthday cake. These people aren't just doing a job. They actually care about their guests and treat them like family. And oh yeah, if that's not enough... BEST BEDS EVER!!!

Great hospitality, friendly, reminder responsive and engaging staff, great time management. There was variety of fresh sumptuous meals. Rooms are well maintenance and cleaned with housekeeping support round the clock. We had fantastic time as a team. Highly recommend!

The staff make this accommodation, from the minute you get there you are welcomed like family. Boniface welcomed us and explained everything we needed to know. The rooms were adequate , very nice , needed nothing extra but possibly the smallest and needing a little bit of TLC but this did not take anything away from the visit. The food and staff in the restaurant were fantastic, the evening entertainment and fire were fabulous to watch. Would highly recommend staying here. The safaris and yours were interesting , especially at the Rhino conservation.

Sarova Lion Hill was probably the smallest room of the 6 lodges we stayed in but it was clean and very comfortable. We had a lovely stay here - the staff were wonderful especially Angela and Cynthia in the restaurant and the firepit by the bar was great. The cultural entertainment was good too. Food, buffet style, was excellent with great choice. We even had time to enjoy the lovely grounds and swimming pool between excellent game drives. All in all, a wonderful stay.

An incredible stay in the heart of Lake Nakuru. Only 3 hours from Nairobi, this is a perfect spot for those who want to Safari in one of Kenya’s best National parks. On arroving you are welcome with cold towels and juice. Our room was ready quickly and all the staff are very friendly. There is a live guitarist playing at the restaurant for lunch and dinner, and the bar area has a beautiful spot looking over the lake. We had a full board option, drinks not included. But the drinks are very cheap. It was my wife’s birthday during our stay, and the resort kindly surprised her with a birthday message and decor on the bed, and a birthday cake at dinner, with a song from all the staff! The food is all 10/10 and there is a large variety of options at the buffets. We stayed in one of the suites which we highly recommend. They came with a private outdoor fire which the staff will light for you. The suite was beautifully clean and extremely spacious. Plenty of bottled water provided in the room. From the moment you leave the camp, we saw buffalo’s, lions, baboons, giraffes and Rhinos. So it is situated in the perfect spot. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the staff for such a wonderful stay.

The Sarova Lion Hills Game Lodge is a lovely place, beautifully laid out with excellent facilities and a wide choice of good food. The staff, and there are a lot of them, are, to a person, happy, cheerful, polite and good at what they do. There is always a greeting, a smile and an enquiry about how your day is going. In my experience Kenyans are naturally like that, but this is taken to a different level and it almost has the feel of 'corporate insistence'. It might give guests a more 'authentic' experience by allowing more 'individual' interaction. At lunch and dinner it appears to be the norm to have somebody wandering around the restaurant playing a guitar and singing He wasn't bad at all, but, to me that doesn't sit particularly well in a lodge that is located within the Nakuru National Park and presumably built to cater for people on safari. That, and the variety of games and competitions all seem a bit too 'seasidey' and not in keeping with the surrounding - but then I'm a bit of a grump about such things. Please don't get me wrong, it is a very nice place to stay, and we enjoyed our stay, but it wasn't quite right for us.

In my view, the best lodge in Lake Nakuru NP and it is popular with international visitors as well as Kenyans. It is a 'middle market' lodge: rooms are comfortable, our shower was excellent, the staff are friendly and professional. All meals are provided on a buffet basis. There's no pretension to 'fine dining' but many guests gave themselves large helpings and quite a few went back for seconds. (I particularly liked the omelettes). I travelled with my sister. We wanted twin beds. The ones that we got were so close together that it felt like a double. Less than ideal. But all in all I have no hesitation saying, "Recommended".

Property was beautiful and staff were great. There was a lot of noise from staff and guests outside our room. Almost felt like there was no privacy. The buffet at the lodge was not upto 4 star standards. Food tasted bland and old.
