Great hotel, great location and bit old My need some extra attention to details But overall good

Over all locations is good but in terms of service is ok ok , slow not focused , needs to ask many time , water 1 bottle

Great place to stay but huge recommendation for the most Amazing Seafood platter in the main restaurant, truly amazing food, one of the best seafood platters ever eaten, worth indulging in and spoiling yourself with! Truly delicious 😋. A great hotel, with lovely rooms .

I travel regularly and stay in multiple hotels in Asia, Africa and Europe each month. The Maputo Sun is my favourite hotel to stay at. It has an exceptional beach front location. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food is excellent. I highly recommend the hotel for business or leisure. I would like to thank the front desk staff who were exceptional helpful during a recent visit when friends joined me for my stay in the hotel. The kitchen staff should also be complimented on the excellent breakfast buffet.

First time back at this hotel in 10 years and it’s still maintained an excellent standard of service. Wonderful management team, great kitchen and food magnificent and all round great service. Also had stunning weather, great clean pool and views of the ocean.

All was good and friendly people...except not understanding wh3n you say family room...with a 16 year old son you NOT share same space with him

We are on our way back to Southern Sun Maputo for our December 2023 holiday break. We were very fortunate to have chosen this venue for our April 2023 break and have no hesitation in returning. The Hotel is conveniently located and has all the amenities/facilities a couple would want for a romantic break. Business trips included. The Staff and Mangement are friendly and go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and exciting. Collette and I actually had our planned stay extended twice whilst we were there. We just didn't want to leave. The restaurant is of the highest quality and the food fresh and delicious. The rooms are well equipped, neat and clean. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Management, Mark and John go out of their way to ensure that their guests receive the best service one could ask for. We are excited and look forward to returning and having another romantic holiday. Southern Sun Maputo should definitely be on any Travellers bucket list for a satisfying and memorable stay. Tony & Collette Dalton

Food and dining room staff was great as well as the Assistant Food and Beverage manager Nasser. Rooms were outdated. Bathroom shower was in poor condition and the lighting in the bathroom was terrible. Pool lounge chairs were worn out.
