Hyatt Place Macae

Was a great location for my business trip

Great place to stay to experience Macaé, great location and close to the beach. Although some staff speak English, many don’t, but without exception they are so willing to help. Loved the rooftop terrace, our room with an ocean view and the gym.

Hyatt Macae is on strategic location, surrounding by many choices of restaurants. Supermarket just behind the hotel. Car park available. Bussiness facility is available. Wifi is good. Hotel is greatly clean.

Friendly staff and most speak fluent English. Breakfast has egg station and some variety in the buffet items. Rooms are large and well maintained. The main public beach of Macae is in walking distance. The beach in front of the hotel is marked red/no swimming but it is a nice beach for sunbathing and refreshing in the ocean. No washed up garbage on the beach. Swimming pool is more like a large dip pool and fun for children. For South American standards there are many sun loungers at the pool. Beautiful views from the hotels sun deck. Hotel restaurant is good with moderate pricing. Hotel lobby is nice and a good place to spend some time. By and large it is probably Macae's best Western standard hotel at the beach.

I still like the place, but my A/C was broken and never worked well, the TV rarely worked, my safe had to be fixed and the mini-frig really did not cool anything. At least they finally fixed the flat tires on the luggage trolleys. While there is a lunch offering it is limited and just barely passable.

My first visit to Brazil and what an introduction to the area. Hotel was right on the beach front and the views were brilliant. Also very easy to get to visit many of the other eatery’s along the sea front. Lovely comfortable rooms with comfy beds and well sorted bathroom and facilities. Only downside for me was mosquitos in the downstairs lobby had me for breakfast. Other than that I look forward to a return visit just as soon as I can arrange it.

Excellent place to stay, large and clean room, with everything you need to rest and work. quality/price unbeatable. A front of the beach between Macae center and cavalheiros center, nice bars and restaurants at 10-15 minutes walk.

The food could be better. I think the staff was great. I was treated well. The rooms were cleaned. The towels were not swapped out. The staff was good. I was not treated as a Hyatt member. i was never asked if i was a hyatt member.

Great stay very amicable staff. Parking was available and convenient to use
