ホテル サン クリストフ(Hotel le Saint Christophe)

My wife and I stayed 2 nights here and loved it! The room was spacious and there was even a bath in the bathroom. The hotel is located in a quite residential part of La Baule, and less than 300 metres to the beach and approx. 5min walk to the main shopping street.

Comfortable, clean, pleasant, friendly, efficient - a slightly too fussy menu for me, though, as I wanted just a snack for lunch. I like the hotel's being made up of a number of houses around main house - the overall effect is quite charming.

We stayed 3 nights for our wedding and it was absolutely perfect. The staff is really nice, our room on the top floor was so special and the breakfast is delicious. The garden is beautiful and very peaceful. I highly recommend it!

Check in was ok; hotel was pleasant and clean and the room we stayed in very nice. Parking is very limited and until we asked where to park, no alternative information was offered. There is a car park under the market, over the road from the hotel; it is shut at 10pm and cheaper than the hotel car park. We couldn’t book in the hotel restaurant for dinner, as full every evening. We ordered breakfast the 1st morning and it was late (we had to chase) and wrong; we had placed the order on the hotel website and it was quite clear what we wanted (took a screenshot). There bar appeared to close around 10.30pm, so when we went in for a coffee one evening, just after 10.30pm, we were very reluctantly served cold coffee. The hotel is in a nice quiet spot and is nicely presented, but the service would make me think about staying again.

In a beautiful place, this hotel is a jewel all on its own. We spontaneously booked a night on a family trip and would have loved to stay several more. The house is simply spectacular from lay out and design. Our welcome was warm and highly personal. The sleep quality was excellent and breakfast was local, unique and delicious. Each staff member was friendly and helpful. As soon as we can, we will return for a few more days of relaxed, elegant enjoyment.

We were a group of friends and though the establishment is beautifully refurbished, we were fairly disappointed with the lack of service during our stay (some of us staying close to a week!). Our requests were never met with a smile and we were often made to feel uncomfortable for asking for something extra or outside of hours. In addition, we felt that the floors of our our bedroom were dirty and that housekeeping should be improved especially for the standing of such a hotel.

The hotel is very well located, within 5 min walk from the beach, lots of restaurants and the market. Rooms are spotless and very well decorated if on the somewhat small side (side effect of the character of the old homes they are located in). The staff is fantastic and always showed lots of attention to please the guests. I'm sad the restaurant was closed due to kitchen renovations as it showed lots of promises but that is a reason to come back when it will be up and running. Special mention to the garden that brings such a well designed and peaceful environment to soak in the sun with a glass of whatever you like that you feel like you are in your own little private garden.

been there many times and never fails us. Feel of a small family owned business in classic French homes cleverly conjoined to feel comfortable. Great position, easy walk to market, town centre and beach. Beautiful restaurant, car parking can be reserved.
