There were some positives but unfortunately, the negatives meant that our overall experience was poor. Positive 1. Location of the Hotel 2. Staff at reception helpful Negative 1. On check in, we let them know we were Gold ******* members and so they said an upgrade was available and we could swap rooms once it had been cleaned. After returning from dinner, we were told that the manager had now said this wasn’t possible even though an empty room was clearly available. 2. The rooms were tired and worn. Need an up dating. 3. The safe in the room was in a cupboard that didn’t open. We asked if they could change our room as we didn’t want to leave our valuables lying around. They said no and offered we left it with them at reception. Something I’m sure no-one would feel comfortable to do. 4. Dirty pillow case and towels. These should be checked prior to guests using them. That said, when this was raised with reception it was addressed immediately. 5. Housekeeping was a big problem. On the first day, the rooms weren’t cleaned until 5pm in the evening. As we were heading out on day 2, we asked for the room to be cleaned earlier but got back at 4pm to find the room still hadn’t been cleaned. We had to ask reception for new towels to be brought to the room which took a while to arriving. By this point we were feeling quite frustrated. When we raised these issues to the manager, she shrugged it off and said she didn’t see what the problem was. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Perfect hotel to stay at if you want to walk around Klaipeda. Very authentic and rustic atmosphere but with all the necessary modern amenities. Staff was very friendly and helpful

Says it’s a 4 star but it needs some modernising and a bit of colour. No tea or coffee making facilities which is the first hotel we have stayed in over4 Baltic countries not to provide this. Wedding venue as well so can be noisy

A fabulous location in the Old Town. There is no onsite parking but it can be arranged by the hotel for €10 per night only 2mins walk away. We felt the hotel furnishings etc were starting to feel a bit dated. Breakfast was adequate but not as good as other similar hotels in Lithuania

Lovely hotel at a great location. Only gripe, two single beds instead of a kingsize. Staff is most pleasant and providing service with a smile, which is rare enough in Lithuania. Don’t get me wrong, Lithuanians are by and large friendly and helpful, they just don’t show it by smiling. But … the staff at this hotel are the exception to the rule. If you want to stay in Memel (as Klaipéda was called in bygone times) then I’d recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed staying at this small hotel. The rooms were very well done and we were most comfortable. The hotel also has a bar and a restaurant. The warm ambiance accented the excellent duck breast that we ordered. One of the best parts of the hotel is its location. Right off the central square, there is very good shopping nearby. Also, the river and its parks are about a block away. This is a great spot for a getaway.

A good solid hotel choice in the heart of Klaipeda. A centrally located, clean, comfortable hotel and with a friendly staff as well. They offer a very good and co prehensile forget breakfast as well, which was included in my rate. Overall, simply an excellent value
