ゲッコー ロッジ(Gecko Lodge Kalbarri)

We stayed three nights in Kalbarri as part of our extended travels in Oceania. Whilst we were there it was extremely hot - 43c in the shade - which meant we weren't able to do much in the day! Shar is a great host and was very helpful with breakfast and with suggestions for things to do that did not involve being out in the sun for too long! We went to the pelican feeding in the morning, to the Pelican Cafe and also on a sunset cruise. In the day I spent most of the time lounging around by the pool (or in the pool) with a beer. There is also the Kalbarri brewery - you can have a tasting paddle if that's your thing. I was slightly put off by all of the photos showing brown bedding in the rooms on here, however when we arrived we were pleased to see that ours was all white with blue accents, so don't let that put you off. The room was a really good size with a lovely walk-in bathroom / shower area. I would highly recommend Gecko if you are visiting Kalbarri on a West coast trip.

This has to be the best place I have stayed at. Cake and coffee on arrival, the hostess is friendly and available for anything you need. Only 4 rooms available so very peaceful. The pool area is very relaxing. It's on the out skirts of town but is also tucked away from the wind. Room was very clean and comfortable. We will be back for sure

Service by the staff was absolutely superb. Attentive, eager to help and provide for all the clients, helpful, knowledgeable and extremely polite. Breakfast is included and was always good, Plentiful and fresh. If we needed milk or anything for our room it was always available. We were also very impressed with the cleanliness of the property and the rooms and shower especially .

Our stay in Kalbarri was enhanced by the exceptional service from Gecko Lodge. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were a great start - fruit salad made individually with every type of fruit imaginable. Rooms were spacious and well equiped for a couple. Afternoon tea with home baked cakes was a bonus between National Park walks and dinner. Kalbarri is amazing and would recommend Gecko Lodge as a great base for any visitor.

Shan and Paul are very friendly and welcoming. The place is kept clean and tidy. We had a whole apartment with private terrace and BBQ which was lovely. It was large, clean, well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was included and good. It is a short walk to the centre of town (5 minutes).

Well appointed and comfortable rooms, clean and easily accessed swimming pool. The owners are most attentive and helpful. A pleasant continental breakfast is included. A most enjoyable stay.

Stayed at this b&b a few years ago when run by Paul and Linley. We enjoyed it so much then, we decided to rebook for our latest trip. On arrival, we were somewhat dismayed to hear that Paul had been unwell and they had sold to new owners. To our great relief, it is still in great shape under the new owners Sa and her partner. The service is still excellent, as is the cleanliness, muffins, and breakfasts, again a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Thanks, great job guys, keep it going.

Stayed 3 nights at Gecko Lodge. Lovely large room with spa bath. Fresh fruit every morning with cereal and toast set us up well for exploring Kalbarri National Park. Good location for walking to the beach or into town. Our host Sha, was extremely welcoming and friendly.
