Firstly, when we (2 adults 1 senior citizens and 1 child) checkin they gave us 2 rooms on building 1 ground floor and 1st floor. I told them I want a room closer to the beach even I do not mind to pay extra for an ungrade so we can stay close to each other and my mum is not young to walk back and for to the beach and pools but the receptionist say the hotel is fully book and we checkin on 17th October 2023,
Here is the worst part of the story on the first night around 1am I am still up doing some work I heard and an animal noise around the bathroom area so I thought it was either squirrel flighting or bird fighting. The noise start about 1am and stop around 7am. I thought it was a noise from outside the room so I open the balcony and try to figure out where it comes from and I finally realized it was in my room on the service section of the bathroom.
At 5am I went to receptionist and show them the video with the sound and they said it might be the Aircon sound and I said it cannot be so can u send someone to check out. They send a staff and after we open the door room he heard the noise was louder and he said it was mice or mouse flights or playing. I was really shock but then my son was sleeping so I ask them to figure it out in the morning.
But the hotel did not take long to contact me and offer to change the room. The room they offer me is on other building but 3rd floor without lifts and the room price is cheaper than the current room I am staying as per Agoda website. So I rejects them as we do not want to walk up and down 3 floor. I ask them for other room and they said we do not have and told me next time we come again we will upgrade you to a better room. I was surprise as I do not tends to come again. When first I checkin no room for upgrade but when the incidents occurs the rooms is available.
I wanted to cancel my second night but the online agency policy was no refund so I have to stay one more night. While we were having light lunch the senior staff came and apologize us and she ask us what else they can offer me. I asked do u have other rooms that we can stay together for second nights the staff says it's full and offer to pay for the lunch and I told them no thanks because lunch bills was only few hundred baht. So she insisted what else she can provide so then my mum said nothing but if u want u can offers spa package to my mum. So we got the spa 2 hours package for my mum. But then I am really disappointed that this happen to my family on my son birthday trips and at 5 stars hotel.
I am really sorry to share this experience with others and hope they do not suffer like me and not sure I can sleep or not as first night I did not sleep.
