This was our 5th time at Room2 but unfortunately the first time it was unpleasant. Ordinarily our go-to when in London which might need reconsidering. The biggest issue was the AC - it wasn’t working at all for the first two days and each time it was raised with the staff we got a different answer, from needing the staff to change the temperature, to it being a faulty AC control in the room, and finally that there was a problem and AC technicians were onsite (on that occasion it was being reset and I needed to wait 30 mins which didn’t fix it anyway). We had family in another room this time and they had no AC the whole trip while ours came back on intermittently the last day or two… it would turn itself off anywhere from 5 mins to 2 hours after we turned it on.
We also couldn’t even open the windows because they were locked and the reception staff had to come to the room to unlock them (weird…). The other strange thing about the stay was the housekeeping. It came once in 4 days from what we worked out. It’s just a bit annoying have to ask for more toilet paper
Every other time we’ve been to Room2 has been great, so maybe it’s just a “not in summer” hotel in the future.
