The location of the hotel was perfect for me since the place I was attending was down the block from the hotel. Service and cleanliness was also perfect. The only thing that I didn’t like was that you had to pay to park in their parking garage even though you was staying at their hotel. It was the first time that I had to do that.

This is my first time at The Capitol Hotel in Hartford, CT, and it was easy to find at night. I chose it for convenience, closeness to the state government building where I had business, and competitive room price, and I am happy with my choice. I walked just down the street and found a great restaurant with good food and a live band, Black-Eyed Sally's Southern BBQ. I recommend this hotel.

We moved rooms 3 times 1st room smelled of urine generally not clean or comfortable 2nd time wiped down surfaces and tried to settle in to work. When ready for shower no water pressure and no hot water. Front desk nonchalant full of excuses not to help; no maintenance person on call to fix issue. Changed room. 3rd time. We move to another smaller no refund for smaller space Omg the thick dust on the counter by the tv was terrible, and a musty moldy smell. Tried to call front desk with in room phone, but it wasn’t connected to anything. This [so far] is the worst room(s) hotel ever we have experienced and we travel. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Management/owners look into this issue. The location is on point thus, the hotel should be terrific. Instead, you’re taking advantage of customers and have no issue with such terrible, terrible deceit. Stay and see for yourself.

Dated and poorly kept hotel. Only one functioning elevator which led to long waits. Very limited dining in the area.

Amazing front desk help and security guard. Very warm underground parking. Great transportation options from train station, city bus stops, charter bus station, highway on and off ramps, electric scooter stations, quick walking destinations, cab service next door. Oh and cheap parking in the area

I enjoyed my stay here, but I found the only inconvenience was having to pay $15 a day for parking. It’s in a very convenient location in downtown Hartford, right across the street from the train station. It is a very clean property, and the staff went above and beyond during my entire experience with them. I interacted with the general manager on several locations due to my bank, not releasing my incidental fee. This had nothing to do with the Capitol Hotel itself, but with my bank solely. The general manager went above and beyond to ensure that everything that I needed was provided and was very helpful in that process. They have a very nice breakfast in the morning, and the beds were comfortable. We had an excellent view of the Capitol from our room, and all around it was a great experience. P. S. If you are looking to go out for a drink, the best place in Hartford is Little River Restorative on Capitol Ave less than 5 min from the hotel. The staff and the atmosphere is top-notch and the bartender are great! Highly recommend

There was no huge blanket on the beds. The shower curtain was awful and parking was not good I shouldn’t have to pay premo dollars to park in a lot which is clearly next to the hotel

I never made it to the hotel as I heard horrible things from my sister who arrived before me. We went for our daughter’s volleyball tournament. Didn’t feel safe , not a nice area .
