Wil je in 'fort' zitten, dan kan de locatie bijna niet beter. Rustiger zijstraatje van één van de hoofdstraten. Leuk en redelijk pitoresk hotel. Binnenplaats wat nauw, maar toch ook weer redelijk knus. Balkonkamer aan de voorkant is leuk! Schoonmaken kan wat beter. Restaurantje direct links aan de overkant was helemaal niet onaardig.

I spent a long weekend here and had a very good time. The hotel is quiet and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast ample and delicious. I have to praise the staff in particular. Extremely friendly and helpful. I had a number of problems -- lost my phone charger, for example -- and the main clerk Usman went above and beyond to help me.

This is a lovely small boutique style guest house up a quiet side street. We had the front facing balcony room which was very pleasant. The bed and room were very comfortable. Good a/c and fan, however the WiFi was very weak in the room. Outside our room was a very comfortable and well presented seating area, to relax. They offer free filtered water which was appreciated. Breakfast is at 8:30 (Although they did accomodate us leaving early on our last morning). Breakfast was nice. There are a few maintenance issues that need addressing, however in a strange way, they seem to add charm rather than be a problem..... the staff were all friendly and efficient. There is a lovely authentic restaurant just outside the front door, which is highly regarded in reviews. A tuk tuk from the train station is only LKR 400. We enjoyed it so much that we booked an extra night.

We stayed here for a few days over New Year. After an initial issue with the room allocation, which was down to the booking not the host we settled in with one half of the family in the main villa and the other in the B&B a few doors down. All the rooms were clean and had what you needed in there and very authentic to the style of the area. Location wise, it's ideally located for exploring Galle, and we found the whole area very safe and welcoming. Breakfast was traditional Sri Lankan which was lovely. As we were a large group they ensued we had a table to ourselves. The staff were brilliant happy to help with bags, brollies and anything. But the star of he show was Samitha, she helped us organise some tours, tuk tuks, advise on where to eat and drink. We certainly recommend a few days here

The location is great right in the middle of the UNESCO heritage site. It was very clean. With 4 persons we had the entire first floor to ourselves with an open air lounge area. The host are very friendly.

We stayed in a splendid villa, tastefully decorated with a charming appearance. We reserved the entire villa, which provided comfortable lodging for six people. The villa consisted of a roomy living area, a small kitchen, and a delightful dining space. A notable features of the villa were the abundant seating spaces, accompanied by an appealing design and the private cozy setting. Situated at the core of Galle Fort, we dedicated our day to exploring its historical expanse. The villa offered a good breakfast. For lunch and dinner, we ventured to nearby restaurants.

Reason for 3 star is in part because the cost of this hotel is too high compared with better options in the fort. The cost is deceiving in booking. Com because it doesnt include substantial taxes. That being said, is a Lovely property and all staff are great. Location is perfect, just 1 minute from many restaurants and shops on pedlar street and surrounding area. I booked a deluxe double room. This place is much nicer than the pictures and was lovely and quiet. Downside was that the wifi connection was very bad, in fact the worst I have experienced. In addition, breakfast is ok but would have been nice to be given a choice or even told what to expect, especially as I dont like to waste food. Lovely property but I wouldn't stay again if the wifi wasnt improved as it was just impossible! When travelling this is a must.
