Dunhuang Silk Yododo Inn

Really cute little hotel a short walk to the entrance of the desert. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, downstairs there's a nice bar, convenient store and a few options of local cuisine.

Very convenient to get to Mingsha Shan and night market is just a short drive away. Many eateries just across the hotel. Mogao Grottoes is less than 40 mins away.

The exterior or the hotel and the small surrounding area of restaurants are absolutely beautiful. The hotel is small and quiet and the staff are very nice and helpful. They told me the best way to visit the sights and even rang up and booked a tour bus for me. Excellent service, especially for foreigners who are not familiar with the area. Would highly recommend.

Yododo, Dunhuang was perfect for me as a solo traveller. It was a kilometer walk to Crescent spring and Mingshan sand dunes, which allowed me to visit this place twice; in the morning and night. The front desk was very friendly and also arranged a car that took me to Mogao grottoes and other surrounding attractions waited for me for the entire trip. Charged me 200 RMB for this. If required, you can also ask them for a car pick from Dunhuang railway station. Overall, convenient spot and helpful. There are plenty of food options outside the hotel, so not a problem.

A basic but interesting hotel. Nice location, very close to the Mingsha mountains entrance. Easy to get around and find food, etc.

Really great location 5 minutes walk from the Minhsha mountain and crescent spring area. 15 minutes taxi from Mogao Grottoes. Lots of stars at night because away from main town. Lots of food options around. Very quiet area. Room fantastic rustic style with a skylight to see the stats as you sleep. Friendly and helpful at front desk. Booked me a pick up from train station. This hotel was very cute and located in the Yueya Spring Town, close to the Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Spring (about 15-20 mins walk) it’s a nice spot to stay if you don’t want to stay in a busy town. A taxi to the night market is about 9rmb so it’s still very convenient to get into Dunhuang. If you’re driving, there’s a big car park for the town. The room itself was clean and had a very cute layout with wooden furniture. The bathroom was a spacious wet room - however there was only a curtain separating the toilet and the bedroom. I would recommend for a 1-2 night stay.

This place was cute and very comfortable. My a/c stopped working and they had it fixed quickly. It has good restaurants and a store downstairs. I would recommend.

The room is very clean, bed is cozy. front desk is friendly. great location. about 10mins walk to ming sha shan yue ya quan ticket office. about 5 minutes walk to lei yin temple.
