Seemed promising. Front desk clerk was a little aloof. Restaurant staff "called out" the night I arrived. Was put in the very last room at the opposite end of the hotel near a stairwell which seemed totally empty and overlooked an area that felt a little unsafe. Ironically, I ended up having to leave almost immediately due to a sudden change in work plans requiring me to drive overnight (and was somewhat relieved, to be honest). I apologized to the clerk and acknowledged I understood I'd have to pay the full night. He said the second night wouldn't be an issue and printed me a receipt as if it were a confirmation. After a few days I noticed the second night charge didn't come off, so I disputed it with my credit card. The hotel challenged the dispute and as of now, it was reinstated on my card. I get the sense the clerk just told me whatever he thought would pacify me. I'd read some of the other negative reviews before booking because it sounds like if something comes up this sort of thing isn't totally uncommon.
