Thatch Caye Resort a Muy'Ono Resort

I attended a retreat here and had the best time. The staff at Thatch Caye are the best. They really make you feel like friends and family. Monique was an incredible server who makes every meal delightful. I loved every meal made by Chef Oscar. Dan and Evilio made the best drinks and Luis made sure excursions and everything ran smoothly. He even made it possible for us to cold plunge in the mornings after our workouts. What a great experience. Our retreat was coordinated by Michelle at Muy Ono and I’d attend any trip organized by her. The whole experience was memorable.

This is an exquisite setting. Top quality cabanas, food, staff, and optional adventures. Limitations to the number of guests at any give time (30) adds greatly to the pleasures of meeting and sharing with other people who overlap your stay.

We started our trip extremely stressed as the airline neglected to put my partner's checked luggage on the plane. This was his first time traveling internationally and hadn't realized he shouldn't check medications. When we first discovered his luggage wouldn't get to us for multiple days- we were planning to cut our trip short. Then Thatch Caye's staff member Kamau came to the rescue! He was able to secure my partner's medication through a local pharmacy and had it delivered right to the island for him! We were absolutely stunned. He truly moved heaven and earth to make our trip enjoyable. Thank you, thank you, thank you Kamau! Besides Kamau's award wining attention to the guests, the entire resort is lovely. Very well maintained- every morning you will see folks raking and tidying up the island. Also, I've been to other all inclusive places where the food is institutionalized and the drinks are weak. Neither is true at Thatch Caye! Food was always fresh ingredients, delicious and the drinks were respectfully strong. We will be back! With carry on bags only, lol.

Our honeymoon at Thatche Caye resort in Belese surpassed all expectations! Kamu and Luis, the attentive managers, ensured every detail was perfect. Junior and Daniel crafted delightful drinks, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. Special thanks to Oscar, the talented chef, who accommodated my wife's gluten allergy with delicious alternatives. From the stunning views to the exceptional service, every moment was pure perfection. Highly recommend this slice of paradise for an unforgettable escape!

Gorgeous location, comfortable accommodations, excellent staff! I'd go again. The beds were comfortable, the food was excellent and the options for excursions varied from low key to very exciting. Special thanks and shout out to Luis, Kamau, Darvin, Charles, Daniel, Monique an Oscar!

From the second we stepped foot on the island. Kumal, Dan, Oscar,Monique & Jr wowed us the entire time. Special thanks to the Dive Master she was amazing and helping me push past my fear and the boat driver is a beast. Thanks for keeping us safe.

I just finished a five night retreat on Thatch Caye with a group of 9 yoga students. Every employee on island was so kind, helpful and friendly from start to finish. The chef prepared vegan and gluten free options for me everyday which made my stay so enjoyable!! The rooms were so comfortable and roomy, all with decks or patios and all amenities were appreciated like kayaks and paddleboards down to sunscreen and bugspray! The excursions were equally as wonderful with the guides being truly professional and fun and showed us the best of the best. Overall, we had such a great time!

When you arrive on this tranquil island, you will be greeted by the friendliest staff of people I have ever encountered. The island is immaculate and the service even better. It’s a great place to decompress and drop off the grid for a while. We stayed in a premier overwater bungalow. We loved the hammock on the deck and the fact that the island is not overcrowded. We got to meet people from all walks of life and made friendships that will last a lifetime.

We went to Thatch Caye for an anniversary celebration. It was the most relaxing and peaceful time that my husband and I have ever had. The staff was incredible. Luis, the Manager, seemed to know what we needed before we did. He is a spectacular hospitality professional. All of the staff, even the chefs, knew us by name. Food was delicious. Scenery was spectacular- we could sit on the deck of our bungalow and see rays, barracuda, starfish, cormorants diving for fish and in the lagoon we even saw a small nurse shark! At Thatch Caye you feel secluded and like one with nature. The resort has a rustic and worn feeling, so if you are a real "fancy pants"- it may not be the place for you. But if you want to be surrounded by beautiful scenery and feel one million miles away from home this is the place to be.
