ニーン ホテルズ - レイク ロッジ, コロンボ(Nyne Hotels - Lake Lodge, Colombo)

We stayed at the hotel our last day of the trip around Sri Lanka and it was the greatest option we chose. Rooms with comfortable bed and big bathroom with everything you need. About breakfast and dinner, the food was really tasty and they have a large menu to choose whatever you like most. The staff was kind and make us feel like home. They were always willing to help. A special mention to Arum: we had our flight at midnight when the check out was done, and he let us take a shower after a long day of tourism without asking for that. Every hotel need workers like him! Also thanks to the rest of the staff for making our stay comfortable. If we come back to Colombo, we will repeat this place.

We were looking for a boutique hotel that was well located and really lucked out. Right next to the Lake - and thus close to shops such as Paradise Road and other attractions such as Galle Face. Their restaurant food was incredible and worth a visit even if not staying. Very caring staff.

Soggiornato la notte tra il 10 e l 11 Febbraio 2024. Eravamo in tre ed abbiamo preso una camera doppia con letto aggiunto. Abbiamo fatto colazione, un pranzo veloce a mezzogiorno. Sono stato incerto nel giudizio tra il tre e il quattro. Punti di forzadell'Hotel: molto ben posizionato, molto elegante, bella struttura, servizio a colazione ottimo, sono stati molto gentili e ci hanno concesso il late check out. Per tutte questi ragioni l'hotel si potrebbe definire molto buono o addirittura eccellente. Quali sono i punti critici? Il primo e più importante è di tipo strutturale. Mi hanno assegnato la camera numero 9. Eravamo in tre, credo ci siano camere più grandi, la sistemazione era abbastanza scomoda. Camera molto bella, ma decisamente piccola per tre. Più importante è un altro aspetto. L'Hotel è strutturato male: la porta di ingresso della camera 9 è dal bar dell'Hotel. non c'e' corridoio. Immaginate di dormire in una camera il cui ingresso è direttamente nel bar (affollato) di un hotel: molta poca privacy. Si apre la porta, tu sei in mutande, tutti ti guardano.. Questo è un problema strutturale. L' Hotel è bello, elegante, molto ben arredato, ma l'architetto che lo ha progettato ha forse dimenticato che era un hotel, dove i clientio vorrebbero privacy... Questo problema c'e' anche per altre camere, la 8 aveva lo stesso problema. Altre sembravano meglio posizionate. Quindi, quando prenotate, verificate quale camera intendono assegnare e fate presente questo aspetto. Credo ci siano camere migliori, se la camera è meglio posizionata, allora è un hotel molto buono. Un ultimo punto: la struttura è molto piccola, ciò ha i suoi vantaggi, è meno affollato (ma con il problema segnalato sopra), però ci sono anche i difetti, per esempio non c'e' ne piscina ne zona all'aperto. Infine una nota sul servizio ristorante interno. Menu rigido e limitato, piuttosto caro. siamo a Colombo in centro, basta girare un pò e si trovano un sacco di soluzioni..

What a fantastic boutique hotel. The room was lovely, the hotel and especially the artwork was great. We had amazing cocktails- really interesting combinations and great service. The breakfast was very different to anywhere else we stayed. I had baked eggs with marmite soldiers which was delicious. The presentation of every aspect of our experience here was truly thought out. A great end to our holiday.

This was first night in Sri Lanka and it was extremely comfortable. It's in an excellent location in the heart of Colombo. The first thing that struck us were the artworks around the hotel. A very pleasant bar and restaurant area. Our room was very comfortable, with an amazing bathroom. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and we had a delicious breakfast. This is a lovely boutique hotel, in total contrast to the many impersonal chain hotels in the city.

This is a small, but welcoming hotel in central Columbo. This was our 3rd stay in a Taru hotel during our stay in Sri Lanka and we were very happy with our rooms and staff. We were met by Arun who greeted us with a warm welcome and helped us with all of our questions. He was attentive and enthusiastic at breakfast, happy to chat with us as we set out for a day of touring. I appreciated the kindness and attention Arun showed us.

Nice and quiet oasis in the middle of town. We had a nice, cool room with its own small garden, perfect for relaxing after roaming the city. The kitchen is serving fantastic meals, mostly european quisine, and all the staff did its best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Ace.

Great hotel, really near the city center of Colombo. The hotel itself is beautifull, the rooms are quiet and with everything you expect of a hotel like this. The service is the best in town. They are always ready to help you, with bookings in restaurants or with anything you might need. Special thanks to Arun, that makes our last hours in Sri Lanka more confortable!! Food is also incredible!! Great menu!!

The room was very spacious and clean. The staff were also really nice and even did a wash load of clothes for us for $10. There was an appropriately sized television, toiletries, and unlimited tea and coffee by a kettle. in terms of the area it was down a street with rats, although there was rats everywhere in Colombo. That being said there were no rats inside the hotel. It was very clean and beautiful. Colombo itself I would not recommend to visit, but it was a good place to stay if you had just got off the aeroplane. The food and the staff were extremely nice. It is worth noting that the hotel is around 45 minute drive from the airport. Just in case you thought it was closer and driving around Columbo is dangerous. Overall, it was a very good experience and I would recommend it to other people. The shower was nice too. Arun and Sam were extremely lovely on our stay and would recommend these members of staff!!!
