ハイアット セントリック シカゴ マグニフィセント マイル(Hyatt Centric Chicago Magnificent Mile)

This was my second time staying at Hyatt Centric Chicago Magnificent Mile, and it was a pure coincidence for this second stay. The location and the room offered were a great deal at this price. The facilities were decent (not too old) and the space were sufficient. Both my stays at Hyatt Centric Chicago Magnificent Mile left me with very good impressions.

I didn't go , I canceled this stay

hotel was good, but we arrived and told we were "downgraded" from two queens to a single king room because they were out of rooms. WHICH is ridiculous because we were traveling with children so there was 4 of us. eventually after some complaining, they said they would change our room back. the hotel said they were holding $100 on my card, but still over charged my card. overall

This was not what I expected from a Hyatt property. When I got into my room it was not what I booked. I had booked a room with a king bed and a sofa. I had a room with a queen bed and a somewhat ragged chair. There were three of us, because we had planned on someone sleeping on the sofa, so I had to get a "roll away" bed which turned out to be nothing more than a small set of springs with a thin covering...even after adding two blankets under the sheet, I could still feel the springs. There was so much dust on the glass top side tables that I wondered when the room had been last cleaned. The towels felt like sand paper. I will say, the staff was lovely, but I would not stay at this property again.

This place was a great stay for me and my partner during the nye holiday. However, the $400 incidental hold should be communicated upfront, so that there are no surprises. Also, the staff was the best part. They were very accommodating and made us feel welcome

The deluxe room we stayed in had plenty of space for relaxing and entertaining. The bathroom was huge, but slippers or socks were warranted because the marble floor was painfully cold (we stayed in December; maybe the marble floor is comfortably cold in July). The restaurant had very good food and convenient hours for breakfast and dinner. There was no lunch option. The staff was very accommodating.

Traveled to Chicago with husband and our 2 kids for vacation. Beautiful, fancy hotel and right downtown close and accessible to shopping, restaurants and more. Felt very safe inside. Room Key card required to access elevators. Our room was very nice. 2 room suite so we had our own rooms. What you need to know before you stay: The hotel has no parking. Valet only, which is $75 per day. I didn’t see this anywhere when I booked and wish I had known. Breakfast is NOT included in your stay. $31 for buffet & $5.50 for a regular cup of coffee, there is a very limited menu. Although the food was delicious, a meal was $100 for our family of 4. This adds up over a 5 day stay. (And that’s just For just breakfast) We waited 30 minutes for service in the lounge one evening. The manager did comp our drinks for waiting so long. I don’t recommend some of the restaurants nearby. (Like Fridays, Dunkin etc.) The homeless (maybe gangs?) hang out out in front & inside smoking/loitering etc. We did not feel safe. This hotel does have a hot tub. (This was one of the reasons I chose it.) It was absolutely filthy with foam and scum. There were so many people and many small children in it at all times. Our kiddos did enjoy the pool but there were rarely any towels stocked the the pool area in general was not clean. The beds were uncomfortable. The pillows were absolutely terrible/ hard as a rock. Was expecting to have a microwave in the room. There was a tiny fridge but no microwave.

Hotel was amazing and the location is perfect! The staff were accommodating and the room was clean! The only negative comment is the “destination fee” that was noted on check in. It wasn’t clearly explained that it was a daily thing so I went to the bar once to make sure I got a credit but turns out it was per night and I was charged like 60 bucks. I just don’t like these hidden fees when you are already paying upfront why not just tack it on the price. Otherwise the stay was pleasant. Recommend staying here if you are in the Windy City. Plus the Starbucks in the lobby is very convenient!

The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and overall accommodation was good. Our check-in was not good. We arrived about 25 minutes before check-in and we’re told the room was clean, but they were waiting for a supervisor to sign off on it. We asked if we could use the pool or anything while we waited and they said no. After waiting for an hour, I asked about the status of our room and was told she could expedite the cleaning for our room. It was supposedly clean an hour ago. We got our room keys close to an hour after check-in. We went to use the pool and it was very crowded each time so we didn’t end up using it. This was one of the reasons we selected this hotel. It was a frustrating experience and I won’t be back. There are plenty of options in the area.
