グランド ラゴイ ホテル バイ ニルワナ ガーデンズ(Grand Lagoi Hotel Bintan)

It is typical hotel for me. There is a small mini mart nearby where we can buy snacks. I enjoyed their wellness spa and food. Rooftop swimming view is nice.

Room was great. Pool is nice and there are free bicycles for rental, but gym is very small and equipment old. Free shuttle service to and fro ferry terminal as well. Shops nearby have been closed since COVID-19 so not much happening nearby, but very peaceful place near the beach and lake.

Great service, very friendly staff. Very bike-friendly. Hotel even has hybrid and tandem bikes for guests’ use. Contacted hotel for a special birthday celebration, and they pulled it off very smoothly and discreetly. Room is very clean, with a balcony on the terrace. Rooftop bar has great food. Breakfast buffet has a good spread. There is a recreation room and spa within hotel grounds. A walk away from the Plaza Lagoi (which comes alive only on weekends). We went on a five-day cycling trip, and get ice buckets sent to our room each time we return to the hotel! The one place where you can have a great sunrise and sunset view!

A holiday getaway to have a good rest and relax but turns out to be a troublesome. free transportation from the port to the hotel and with welcome drink upon arrival at the hotel. restaurant food is pricey. better to eat and drink at the nearby Lagoi Park. walking distance to the beach, shop and plenty of options for food and drinks. they got gym and pool overlooking the Lagoi reservoir. Room is dirty and worn out as the sliding glass door is rusty and hard to open. toilet seat have dark marks and you would think that’s it’s dirt on it. bed sheets have dirt marks to. chair and sofa have unknown stain marks as well. floor has hairs and dust and even found old slippers underneath the bed. weak wifi. the worst is the room is very noisy. we we’re unlucky maybe as the room given to us is at level 3 and on top of their conference room at level 2. the noise — people talking and non stop music so loud, very inconsiderate from 6am till 10pm. that’s our alarm for our 3D2N stay. we need to blast the TV volume just to hear the TV shows. i keep calling the front desk about it and they didn’t do anything even room transfer, as they are full house. we book the hotel very last minute and the price was doubled as it’s CNY days. i would understand but the experience was not worth it. they could have done better.

Overall everything is good but i have some feedback and i dispoited with this hotel. 1. First day i stay never clean the toilet even the cleaner come to my room do cleaning 2. The restaurant there is very terrible. I go there to take dinner, they have combo for 299k for steamboat but when i ask they said that no more but after that they sell for 3 table after me. When j ask they only say sorry.

Overall, a great experience. Breakfast was not bad with a variety of selections with live stations such as egg, waffle, pancake and dishes (there were freshly cooked laksa and bakso when we were there) stations. Great service provided by the hotel. Hotel staffs were very friendly and welcoming. Gave us Christmas cookie when we checked in on that day, very nice gesture. Shuttle bus is provided to and fro from the BBT pier. Location is near lagoi bay beach, plaza lagoi and a lake. All are just 3-5 mins walk away. A pity that the stores at plaza lagoi are mostly closed down. There are 2 restaurants and 2 minimarts nearby. A few stalls that sell drinks, bbq food, etc are there too (not many) but not sure if it operates on the weekday. To be honest, nothing much nearby. Nonetheless, a great place to chill and wind down.

If Plaza Lagoi is still in operation, I guess it wouldn’t be too bad staying here. But this hotel and the vicinity has seen better days since COVID-19. Definitely don’t recommend staying here for family travellers. The balcony is also very unsafe for kids. There is free transfers from the ferry terminal but the hotel might not contact you to tell you this. I was about to get a cab from the terminal when the hotel driver, Mr Ade, overheard me and told me he here to pick up guests. He was very helpful and even went out of the way to drive me to my next hotel when I told him the cab fare was very expensive (200k for a 10mins drive). Mr Ade is the only reason I’m giving this hotel 5 stars for service.

Grand Lagoi Hotel is quite afforadable hotel to stay. it is located between a beautiful lake and relaxing beach. so you can enjoy both scenery. they provided free a pair of bicycle ride for you to ride around the lake. so quite romantic. after that you still able to enjoy and sunset at the beach. the beach quite clean and relaxing. Lagoi Bay have few cheap dining places such as Warung Yeah and Cek Bakar so we don't have to dine in at the hotel with limited selection and expensive. grand lagoi hotel is clean and spaces. good for 3 adults or 2 adults with 2 children. the swimming pool like the marina bay sands standard cheaper version as it located at roof top. #spooktaculartrip #tripblazers #beachlife

Grand Lagoi provides free shuttle services upon arrival and departure. While Grand Lagoi is situated beside Plaza Lagoi, but Plaza Lagoi has nothing to offer given that all the tenants have already closed down (sadly). Hence, you are left with limited food options should you not venture outside the hotel. Else, rooms are clean and spacious. Beds are ok-ish, but generally still alright. Service is ok too. Family and I stayed here for 2 nights and I think that’s the maximum days already :)
