We travel to Altoona frequently for family and always stay at this hotel. Comfortable, quiet, and clean.

Always come here when visiting my son at Penn State Altoona. Lovely, professional and fun front desk staff, decent breakfast choices, (really good coffee), they always make us feel welcome and appreciated and go above and beyond when checking in, when asking for additional towels, etc. Super convenient to shopping and dining. Cannot recommend enough. If anything changes, I will post that as well.

Came up to Altoona to visit Levity Brewing in downtown and for Penn State Football. This hotel seems very new… shower pressure strong, bed comfortable, room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast area was large and well stocked. Definitely will return!

This was my first trip to Altoona, and my 3-day stay at the Towne Place Suites Altoona over the 2023 Labor Day weekend was fantastic. The purpose of my trip was to enjoy local rail-trail biking, immerse myself in the tragic Johnstown Flood, the portage railroad, and Horseshoe Curve history. Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations, including the convenient location, the front desk reception on arrival, the cleanliness of the hotel and my room, the plentiful breakfast, and the welcoming, huge, and quiet outdoor patio to read a book or just relax. My requested upgrade (due to my elevated Bonvoy status) was approved by James Long, the assistant hotel manager, and I personally thanked him for it. Kudo’s go to the entire TPS Altoona staff, and especially the morning breakfast team that superbly orchestrates the 3-hour breakfast rush, similar to feeding time at the zoo! Food items were constantly replenished before they went empty, and tables were always ready for the next person/group to use. I’ll certainly be back!!

I had an excellent stay in this hotel. I actually stayed on points and it was a fairly low point amount compared to some. This hotel shares the same building with the Fairfield. It shares the same pool, fitness center, and breakfast area. There is also a lovely outside area with a fire pit. My room was a 2 Bed studio. The room was a nice size. The bathroom was also nicely designed. Everything was clean and functioning properly. The breakfast was actually very good as hotel breakfasts go. There was a choice between quiche and breakfast sandwiches on a croissant. The rest of breakfast was the usually breads, yogurt. Bananas, apples, oa**eal. There were some scones and other pastries. The staff was very professional. Housekeeping was great and they did give me water for being silver elite. That’s always a nice touch. I would stay here again without hesitation. It’s on a major road close to multiple restaurants and stores.

Very clean. My husband and I only stayed one night as a midpoint stop in the way home. We did online check in with the mobile key and that was very simple. The hotel can be a maze to find the rooms/ elevator but it is unique. Lots of food available for breakfast. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was updated and nice

The swimming pool taste really strong of pool salt and got my skin rash and burning skin. The shower glass window not have door to slide the water is everywhere in bathroom floor. The breakfast seems not very healthy tooo greasy and too much cheese.

After driving all day, we decided to stop here for the night. Choose the TownePlace Suites (used points ) and didn't regret it. The gentleman that checked us in was welcoming, friendly and explained the amenities and layout. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Location was right off the highway and parking was plentiful. Breakfast was your typical free hotel breakfast but it worked fine for us.
