Please stay away from this hotel if you don’t want your holidays being ruined. The hotel was actually acquired by Hyatt from others so none of the hardware is up to Hyatt’s standard: 1. The hotel is aged and lack of maintenance. Eg toilet board in my room is loosened (it is me who did the fixing on my own), there are sign of ageing everywhere. The games room in the Mexican restaurant has no air conditioning , they told me its out of order. They just simple accept the condition without any proactive action to do repair even when our family purposely go up there for the games provided. Traces of Poor workmanship is everywhere. 2. Poor design planning and layout: we stayed in the family room number 5xxx. You have to walk to take buggy uphill a bit. That’s not a problem . The real problem is that you have to pass through a very narrow journey with step and corridor, something like a back of house or back lane which is very dark and narrow. The arrival experience is very bad. Right in front of your door is the back of other rooms with all the air conditioning units emitting hot air and super noisy sound to your entrance door which you have to experience the nuisance every time you go out and return!!! The toilet cubicle is way beyond human ergonomics. The length of it is just too short: when your sit on the loo, your knee is just 10 cm away from the other side if the wall. What a wrong design ! The view from our room is blocked by some big trees in front! 3. Hygiene problems : marks and stained are everywhere , poor maintenance is so obvious when you just look around, When we first entered the room , we found that the slippers were already laid out but they are old ones which has sign of being used before !!! The room has flies , and i have killed 3. There are unclean marks everywhere which suggest that the cleaning and maintenance is not well taken care of. The pool area is always dirty with little scraps of food everywhere. Not to mention the kids area near the slide, so messy with all sort of food remains and candy wraps …. You name it…. In the restaurant, many utensils eh bowls are not completely dry. Some spoon for dessert are sticky with i out being thoroughly cleaned. 4. Room service is the worst amongst all the international 5 starts group: every time my request was wrongly delivered either missing something or wrong. The other day we went out for swimming and came back around noon but the room was left unattended for cleaning. The toilet was blocked this morning, the guy came in with the “pump” and surprising he didn’t bring it with a plastic bag or something to carry it so you can imagine the dripping from the pump after service from the bathroom all along until he reached the door, i gave him a towel to wrap the pump up to stop the dripping. How can a 5 star hotels miss this basic attention to service ? Last nite , i asked for some tissue paper around 10pm. You just can’t imagine the guy came to my door and knocked loudly
